Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease that the new Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) might be Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghils)! Even though Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) may have been impersonating him for months, there may be a bizarre new twist to the story!

Tony’s Phone Was Found On A Beach With Location Services Turned Off

In the episode of Thursday, November 13, EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) confirmed that Tony was missing, after Anna DiMera (Leanne Hunley) reported he didn’t return to their ship.

They had been on a cruise, but months before that, subtle changes were noticed in Tony that weren’t so Tony-like.

Anna never noticed the changes either, but then she thought she was carrying Tony’s ashes around in a cocktail shaker for years-when Andre was impersonating him the last time!

Longtime viewers of the NBC Peacock soap know that dead rarely means dead in Salem, unless as has sadly happened three times in three or four years, the actor died. But even then, just because Joseph Mascolo died it’s never meant that Stefano died, he just got someone else’s body.

The Fall To Winter Preview Showed Stefano’s Being Resurrected In Someone Else Again!

Viewers will remember that the fall to winter preview showed Stefano’s being resurrected again, and it appears that he’s going to be in someone else’s body again.

It appeared to be Andre who was with someone, possibly in a stasis tube like Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) was in , telling “Father, it’s time to wake up!”

At the end of the episode of Thursday, November 13, a large crate arrived in the secret lab portion of the new Tom Horton (MacDonald Carey) free clinic.

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) signed it in; with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) working in the secret part of the clinic, his new project’s in that crate. And with Gwen so closely involved funding the clinic with its secret projects, could mother-in-law Megan Hathaway DiMera (Miranda C. Wilson) be far behind?

Tony’s Phone Could Have Been On That Beach For Months

More than likely, during the time that “Tony” started changing, he was already in that crate, and Andre had taken over-he probably left that phone on that beach months ago.

After all, he’ll have to have a cover story when “Tony”, who’ll likely be said to be “Andre” will have Stefano’s “essence” put in his body. That way Andre will continue impersonating Tony, mysteriously reappearing, and it’ll be easy to sell that Stefano’s living in Andre.

Many have speculated that Stefan O. DiMera  (Brandon Barash) would be the new Stefano, but that’s way too obvious, and there have been no announcement of Barash’s return.

But since Tony’s phone was found on a beach, and Tony’s been deemed officially missing when the crate arrives in the clinic, the new Stefano almost has to be Tony!
