‘General Hospital’ Recap November 17: Sonny Lashes Out At Justine, Laura Slaps Dalton, Ric’s Evidence

'General Hospital' Recap November 17: Sonny Lashes Out At Justine, Laura Slapps Dalton, Ric's Evidence General Hospital recaps for Monday, November 17 reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) lashed out at Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) over her revoking Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) plea bargain.

Plus, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) met with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) slapped Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and called him a liar!

Sonny Lashed Out At Justine

In the courtroom after Rocco’s arraignment, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) informed Sonny about his deal with Turner, prompting Sonny to lash out at Justine for betraying his grandson. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

She attempted to clarify that Professor Dalton had presented new evidence after her conversation with Ric, but Sonny was uninterested and demanded his grandson be released on bail.

Justine reassured him that the state would not contest bail, yet Ric doubted her trustworthiness due to her courtroom conduct today.

After Ric left, Sonny told Justine that Dalton was clearly setting Rocco up — and she was falling for it. Justine maintained she was merely fulfilling her duties, but Sonny argued that if that were true, she would investigate Dalton’s assertions, especially since Rocco claimed he hadn’t damaged the lab.

Justine Said Dalton Brought Photos

Justine questioned how confident Sonny was in his grandson’s honesty; he asserted he knew Rocco well, describing him as a good kid. Justine acknowledged the photos provided by Dalton, while Sonny pointed out that the police had never properly investigated the lab.

He insisted that Dalton was concealing something and framing Rocco to keep it under wraps; Justine confessed she was not pleased about prosecuting Rocco, but it was her responsibility.

Sonny contended that situations are not always clear-cut, and the system can fail-she promised Dalton’s evidence would be thoroughly examined; since Rocco was a sympathetic character, the jury might favor him.

When she reiterated that it was her duty to prosecute the case for Dalton, Sonny questioned whether it was solely that or if she was also aiming to further her career.

Alexis Met With Felicia

At her law office, Alexis met with Felicia to discuss the investigation into Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). She pondered when the doctor might have acquired Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) gun, and Felicia disclosed that Portia had been visiting Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) bi-weekly with updates from the hospital.

Subsequently, Alexis probed into Portia’s potential motive for shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and assigned Felicia the task of uncovering that information to identify more possible suspects.

She wanted more suspects,  aside from Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), to help establish reasonable doubt for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Ric arrived to speak with Alexis, prompting Felicia to bid farewell.

He then mentioned that he had heard Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) were with Rocco in the lab, and he needed them to step forward to assist his client.

Alexis immediately dismissed this idea, stating that Danny coming forward would be detrimental for him, and she couldn’t rely on Ric’s assurances that he would safeguard her grandson.

Ric attempted to sweeten the offer by suggesting he could help clear Willow’s name by presenting another suspect: Portia; curious, Alexis asked why Portia would have shot Drew.

Trina Wanted To Tell Her Parents She And Kai Were In Drew’s House When He Was Shot

Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) hurried to the gallery to check on Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). She revealed she wanted to inform her parents that they were at Drew’s house the night the congressman was shot.

He questioned what had prompted her change of heart, and Trina vented about Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) taking her father from her mother.

Then she pointed out that it was Drew who had caused the rift between her parents. She felt that if she could convince them the blackmail evidence was no longer an issue, the rift would heal and they would remain together.

Kai Reminded Her Drew Hadn’t Bothered Curtis And Portia In Some Time

Kai gently proposed that perhaps the blackmail wasn’t the root cause of her parents’ separation, noting that without the evidence, Drew hadn’t pursued Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia in some time.

This led Trina to ponder what else might be keeping her parents apart, aside from Jordan. Kai cautiously reminded her that they hadn’t seen the shooter that night, and while Curtis had an alibi, Portia did not.

Trina was shocked that he was suggesting her mother, the doctor, might have attempted to take a life, and questioned whether she truly knew her parents at all.

Kai reassured Trina that her parents loved her, so if she revealed she was at Drew’s that night, they might tell the truth, adding, “And is that a truth you really want to know?”

Curtis Came To Ask Portia About Her Pregnancy Checkup

At the hospital, Portia examined a sonogram image, reassuring her unborn child that everything would be fine when Curtis came in to inquire about her checkup.

She concealed the sonogram and stated that all appeared well. Curtis was eager to announce their pregnancy, but she reminded him that her age posed higher risks, so she wanted to ensure the baby’s safety before making it public.

Curtis confided that Stella Henry (Verneé Watson) had discovered her pregnancy but was more focused on their divorce, hoping for a reconciliation.

Portia was shocked that he would consider staying together for the baby’s sake, revealing she had seen him kissing Jordan recently.

Curtis Apologized, But Portia Recognized They Are Separated

Curtis expressed regret, but Portia recognized that they had separated, and he was returning to Jordan. Curtis contended that while they weren’t suited as a couple, they could still co-parent effectively.

Portia appreciated the warning about Stella, and just as Curtis was about to let her return to her work, he noticed the sonogram.

She reluctantly gave it to him, mentioning it was too soon to determine the baby’s gender;  “Whoever they are, they’re just perfect,” he said joyfully.

He asked if he could keep it, and after a moment of hesitation, she agreed; Curtis then stepped into the hallway, gazing at the image with tears in his eyes.

Lulu Confided Bad News In Carly

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was tidying up a table at Bobbie’s when Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) burst in, panicked because Rocco faced felony charges he insisted he didn’t commit.

Carly urged her to do whatever necessary to protect her son, warning that prison would change him. Lulu disclosed that she could disprove Dalton’s vandalism allegations if Danny and Charlotte testified.

She hoped their statements could exonerate Rocco. But she worried they might face trouble themselves, wanting to ensure their safety first.

Lulu Talked About When Michael Was Wrongly Convicted Of Claudia’s Murder

Overcome with emotion, she apologized to Carly for the past when Michael was wrongfully convicted of Claudia Zacchara-Corinthos’s (Sarah Joy Brown) murder. “Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and I believed we were making the right choice,” she cried. “We thought we understood the courtroom outcome, that Michael would be fine; we were so mistaken!”

Michael had killed Claudia in defense of baby Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Carly. With tears in her eyes, Carly embraced Lulu, who insisted she couldn’t afford to be wrong again because “Rocco has too much at stake.”

Britt Confronted Emma

Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) arrived at the hospital searching for Dante when Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) showed up and seized Emma’s arm, insisting on a private conversation.

Gio offered to remain, but Emma reassured him she’d be okay, prompting him to enter the elevator. Britt revealed to Emma that she was aware Emma had persuaded Rocco to take the key fob from her bag, making it Emma’s fault that Rocco was incarcerated.

Emma countered that Rocco was capable of making his own choices, leading Britt to realize that Rocco’s interest in her since learning she worked for Dalton was merely a facade.

Emma shared that Rocco genuinely likes her and wants to know her better, which led Britt to assume Emma had shared all the negative things about her.

Emma Verified Rocco Wanted To Get To Know His Surrogate Mother

“Actually, the first time Rocco asked me about you, I suggested he get to know you himself,” Emma responded. “And maybe you’ve changed from The Britch who burned my doll on the barbecue when I was a child; the jury’s still out on that one.”

As Britt continued to hold her responsible for Rocco’s imprisonment, Emma stated she was finished trying to appease her.

As Emma turned to leave, Britt furiously told her that next time she wanted to confront her, she should do it directly and not involve a child.

Emma reiterated her apology, but Britt replied that as someone who has made many mistakes, sometimes an apology isn’t enough, and one must simply accept the error.

Dante Lit Into Gio Over Rocco

Dante encountered Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) at the hospital and shared the news about Rocco’s arraignment, expressing his helplessness as the police took his son away.

Brook Lynn questioned how Rocco ended up in such a situation when Gio emerged from the elevator, interrupting with, “It was me.” He clarified to Dante that he had collaborated with Emma to infiltrate Dalton’s lab to expose illegal animal testing.

They had enlisted Danny, Rocco, and Charlotte to create a diversion while they broke in; however, Dante pointed out that it was his brother who actually broke in, not him and Emma.

Gio attempted to clarify that they had canceled the plan after Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) suffered a heart attack, but Dante bitterly remarked that Rocco still went in.

Brook Lynn Tried To Defuse The Situation

Brook Lynn tried to calm things down, but Dante became emotional, telling Gio that Rocco would do anything for him, and Gio should be in jail. “Maybe you don’t care about being part of his family,” Dante retorted, “but all Rocco wants is to be part of yours.” As Dante berated Gio for endangering Rocco again, Emma interjected, claiming the plan was her idea, not Gio’s.

Dante then accused Gio of betraying his little brother to impress a girl, and when Gio protested, Dante angrily said, “You know what? Just get out of my face. Please walk away from me before I say or do something I’ll regret;” Gio stormed off, followed by Emma, while Brook Lynn shook her head.

Laura Cast Her Vote, And Told Elizabeth About Rocco

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had just completed her voting when Laura arrived at the polling station with troubling news about Rocco.

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) appeared to inform Laura that he had arranged for Rocco to be placed in his own room at the juvenile detention center. Laura held Dalton responsible for the situation, pointing out that the professor had initially failed to mention the lab’s vandalism.

Liz reassured her that the PCPD would continue their efforts until Rocco was exonerated, prompting Laura to take a deep breath and step away to cast her vote. Once that was finished, Laura expressed her gratitude to Nathan for his assistance with Rocco and was about to have lunch with Liz when Dalton entered.

Dalton Taunted Laura About Losing The Election

Dalton started boasting about how challenging it would be for Laura to safeguard her grandson now that she had lost the election.

Laura reminded the professor that the votes were still uncounted and asserted that she didn’t need to be mayor to protect her family. When Dalton mocked that Rocco and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)  could now exchange prison tales, Laura snapped and accused him of manipulating things.

The other people in the room were observing, some filming on their phones as Dalton asserted he was the victim while Laura furiously retorted, “No you’re not. You are a liar!” Dalton charged her with abusing her mayoral authority to assist her grandson in evading consequences.

Laura Slapped Dalton As People Were Filming On Their Phones

When Laura confronted him about wrongfully accusing an innocent teenager, he loudly questioned in front of all the onlookers if she was threatening him. Laura claimed he was faking the damage to his lab and vowed to fight him with all her strength. As Dalton kept scanning the room during her outburst, Laura yelled, “Look at me!” and slapped him to grab his attention.

“You are attempting to frame my grandson for a crime he didn’t commit,” she spat; “And I assure you, this will not end well for you.”

But then Laura followed Dalton’s gaze and noticed all the gathered voters, many recording with their phones, and her expression changed, obviously realizing it would hit social media.
