'General Hospital' Recap November 19: Laura Wins The Election & Sidwell Shot DaltonGeneral Hospital Recaps for Wednesday, November 19 reveal Laura Collins (Genie Francis) won the election, while  S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) saved Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

Also, at Wyndemere right in front of a shocked Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) shot Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard)!

Jordan Visited Laura, And Drew Interrupted

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) visited Laura, who was still anxious about possibly losing the election after her confrontation with Dalton, especially since Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) was in the lead. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

They talked about how their strategy for Jordan to expose Sidwell’s illegal actions hadn’t been very effective. Laura expressed regret for leaving her friend without a job to return to if she lost the election.

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) then came in to boast about Ezra being ahead in the vote count and to ensure Laura was preparing her concession speech.

After Jordan accused him of not caring for the people of Port Charles like Laura did, the congressman told her to leave.

Laura Tried To Guilt Trip Drew

Once alone with Drew, Laura told him that if she lost, it would be his responsibility to look after the people of Port Charles.

When Drew mistakenly thought she believed in him, Laura remarked that she was appealing to the man he once was. She then inquired about the purpose of his visit, and Drew revealed that he wanted her to endorse Ezra in her concession speech.

Laura firmly declined to support a man who was under Sidwell’s influence. At that moment, the congressman remembered Sidwell telling him that he needed a politician at his command- and that Drew was now working for him.

Drew Was Stunned To Learn Laura Won The Election

In the present, Drew stated that Sidwell was a community-focused businessman with a clean record, and that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would have to leave town once Measure C was approved.

Laura didn’t think Drew’s concern for Sonny’s piers was about the safety of the town, but rather out of resentment towards Sonny, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

Drew argued that appointing her former son-in-law as police commissioner made Laura just as guilty as him in using her role for personal gain.

Jordan then came back, announcing that the race was about to be decided-to Drew’s dismay, Laura emerged as the winner! Jordan and Laura celebrated with a hug, and as Jordan exclaimed, “Four more years,” Drew looked stunned.

Charlotte And Danny Agreed To Help Alexis Turn The Situation Around On Dalton

At the PCPD, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) agreed to assist Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in turning the situation around on Dalton.

The lawyer sought Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) thoughts on the confession he had recorded, and the detective believed the teens would serve as strong witnesses.

Next, Alexis informed Jason about her discussion with Nathan and inquired if he was still comfortable with Danny surrendering himself. Meanwhile, in the interrogation room, Charlotte suggested to Danny that they should review their story since they couldn’t use what they had previously told Nathan.

Pointing out that Dalton had already caught them off guard twice, Charlotte emphasized the need to ensure the professor faced consequences for targeting Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).

Charlotte Suggested They Claim Dalton Attacked Rocco

When she proposed that they claim Dalton had attacked Rocco, Danny hesitated, thinking it was wrong to lie under oath, but he changed his mind as long as they could be convincing.

Then, Charlotte began a fake confession, expressing how scared she was when Professor Dalton harmed her younger brother-although actually, they’re the same age. Danny, amused by her act, laughed and said, “Your parents have no idea how much trouble you are, do they?”

With a mischievous grin, Charlotte responded that the details were on a need-to-know basis. In the meantime, their parents discussed everything separately.

Sonny , Dante, Lulu, Alexis And Ric Discussed The Case

Upstairs, Sonny reached Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) office while Dante and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) were in a meeting with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

The attorney updated his brother on the plan to turn the case against Dalton. However, Dante and Lulu were hesitant to proceed without a sure outcome, fearing that Danny and Charlotte could also face felony charges.

Sonny encouraged his son to listen to Ric, as they needed Danny and Charlotte’s testimony to counter Dalton’s allegations. When Alexis arrived with news that Jason supported Danny’s confession, Dante let Lulu take the lead.

Lulu Wanted To Talk To Charlotte First

Before deciding, Lulu wanted to talk to Charlotte; while encountering Nathan in the bullpen, Lulu shared her fear of losing both her children if things went wrong. After that, she ensured that Charlotte was certain about turning herself in.

Sonny, Alexis, Ric, and Dante were waiting for news from Lulu while talking about how crucial it was for the forensics team to uncover proof that Dalton had vandalized his own office.

Dante hurried out to see how the forensics team was doing, but Alexis trailed behind him into the hallway, warning him to stay away since the investigation was related to his family.

Back in the office, Ric expressed his gratitude to his brother for his support, and Sonny responded that it wouldn’t matter until he followed through.

All Came On Board With Charlotte And Danny Backing Up Rocco In Court

As Nathan, Jason, Charlotte, and Danny stood behind her, Lulu called Alexis to say Charlotte would confess with Danny; Jason praised both teens for being honest.

Before they left, Nathan asked how they got the lab key fob-after a glance with Charlotte, Danny admitted they took it from Britt’s purse. Nathan closed his eyes at the news of his sister’s link to Dalton’s research, while Lulu and Jason looked surprised.

Back upstairs, Alexis told Dante the kids would turn themselves in the next day, hoping to avoid a jury trial. In the hallway, Sonny wished for a stronger case, and Ric warned him not to interfere, warning him they didn’t need to make Dalton disappear.

Gio Opened Up To Emma

After leaving the hospital where he had just visited Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) opened up to Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner).

He expressed his lingering frustration regarding Dante’s harsh words directed at him, although he acknowledged that he could see the reasoning behind his father’s comments.

Gio also pondered whether Rocco shared Dante’s sentiments, questioning if Rocco felt that Dante didn’t care enough to safeguard his brother.

In response, Emma gently reminded her boyfriend that it was actually Rocco who had urged them not to come forward, emphasizing that Dante was unaware of Rocco’s true situation.

She also told him he’d never have to do anything to impress her, alluding to Dante’s comment about Gio agreeing to help break into Dalton’s lab to impress a girl.

Josslyn And Vaughn Honed In On Dalton At The Brown Dog Bar

Vaughn summoned Josslyn to the Brown Dog, where Dalton was at the bar, and advised her to take advantage of the professor’s drunkenness to inquire about his research.

From a booth, Vaughn observed as Joss engaged with the professor, while Dalton rambled drunkenly about needing to take action after Rocco broke into the lab. He also told how poorly he was treated by the mayor afterward.

Dalton admitted that following the incident at his previous university, he now conducts his animal testing off campus to avoid upsetting student animal rights activists.

Still playing her part, Josslyn praised Dalton as a misunderstood genius-he placed his hand on Joss’s thigh and disclosed that he has a secret lab that PCU is unaware of.

Josslyn Kept Flirting With Dalton For Intel While Emma And Gio Arrived

He explained that his lab is isolated, with no neighbors to hear the dogs barking, and that he keeps the animals sedated because he’s not cruel.

Emma and Gio then entered the bar, and when Emma saw Joss with Dalton, she complained that Joss was a hypocrite. She was advising her to steer clear of Dalton while she was drinking with the professor herself.

Catching Josslyn’s glance, Dalton signaled her to Emma and Gio’s location in a back booth, prompting her to suggest to Dalton that they should leave. “I have this really cozy couch in my lab. Want to come try it out?” Dalton slurred.

Josslyn Went To Distract Gio And Emma, Vaughn Intervened To Save Her

Joss agreed, but before they could depart, Gio came over and invited her to join him and Emma to share some news. Josslyn promised Dalton she’d return quickly and went to the booth-Gio and Emma told her the professor had framed Rocco.

When Dalton approached, Emma scolded him for framing Rocco. She yelled that she knew he was conducting illegal tests on animals because she had broken into his lab at his old school and planned the break-in at PCU.

Dalton, drunk, threatened to have Emma arrested, and she threw her drink at him; before Dalton could hit Emma, Vaughn showed his WSB badge and took the professor aside.

Josslyn Covered

After Vaughn told him to be at the station the next afternoon, Dalton stumbled out, followed by Vaughn. Gio was surprised to find out Vaughn wasn’t a PCU employee, and Emma realized the WSB was investigating Dalton.

To keep her cover, Josslyn said Vaughn lied about being a WSB agent, but when Emma worried that her mess was unnecessary, Joss revealed she was right.

Dalton drunkenly admitted he has another lab for animal testing-before Joss left, Emma thanked her for the info she got and happily told Gio Dalton would get what he deserved.

Outside the bar, Josslyn looked around as Vaughn emerged from the shadows, praising her awareness, then her handling of Dalton, except her flirting, and pulled her into a kiss.

Britt Confronted Sidwell

At Wyndemere, Britt and Sidwell had a disagreement about her position in his organization. He suggested that he and his partner had saved her life by moving her to the Five Poppies and giving her medication, only asking her to continue her father’s work in return.

Britt responded by saying they didn’t give her a choice since she was taken without her consent. When Britt complained that Pascal (Marc Forget) almost killed her by strapping a bomb to her ankle, Sidwell retorted that Jason rescued her and seemed to have an interest in her. He questioned how much Britt had told Jason about her research.

As Britt And Sidwell Continued Arguing, Sidwell Reminded Her About His Being Her Savior

Britt maintained that Jason was unaware of her work and that he didn’t know it was her key fob that Rocco used to enter the lab.

Sidwell told her to keep it that way and sarcastically mentioned that Morgan would be upset to find out Britt had been collaborating with Dalton all along. He reminded her that he was the one with the medicine necessary to keep her Huntington’s disease in check.

Britt admitted that Sidwell and his partner had her cornered, but she was determined not to let Dalton ruin Rocco’s life. Sidwell did agree with that point.

Drunk Dalton Showed Up And Sidwell Shot Him

Sidwell agreed, and just as Britt asked him how he planned to handle the situation, a drunk Dalton showed up. He announced that the WSB was after him, and demanded that Sidwell get the agent to back off.

Directing her fury at Dalton, Britt sneered that Sidwell needed to cut him loose after the way he lied to the PCPD, framed a teenager, and put the entire operation at risk.

Agreeing with Britt, Sidwell sauntered over to a cabinet while a plastered Dalton babbled that he was an asset. Then, Sidwell calmly pulled out a gun and fired at Dalton from across the living room, presumably killing him!

  1. Toni Epstein says

What I learned from watching Jessica Fletcher was that when a person dies and bleeds from those injuries, when he is supposedly killed again, there will be no bleeding. So, Jessica’s scripts were researched thoroughly, I say if Nathan is as smart as he thinks he is, between him and the hospital doctors should catch it right.
