General Hospital Spoilers: The Search For Dalton Begins – And So Do Suspicions!

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that when the search for Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) begins, so do all the suspicions! Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may think he has everything taken care of for Mayor Laura Collins, (Genie Francis) but does he really-might his plan backfire?

Sidwell’s Sinister Plot

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) may not have planned to kill Dalton in his living room, right in front of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) but nonetheless, that’s the way it went down!

As far as disposing of the body and the evidence, it was a stroke of genius to plant it in Laura’s trunk, at least in Sidwell’s own mind. Sidwell didn’t like that Laura won the mayoral race, and that Measure C was defeated as well-that blows his whole plan to co-opt Sonny’s piers.

After the spectacle Dalton had made of himself by accusing Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) of trashing his lab at PCU, and Laura’s publicly slapping him, she was a ready-made fall guy.

He wasn’t quite sure where to fit Sonny into all of this at the time, but Jenz’ plot was to kill two birds with one stone-Dalton’s body, in Laura’s trunk!

No Body, No Crime, But No Shortage Of Suspects?

Sonny had Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) dispose of Dalton’s body and clean any evidence from Laura’s car, and he reassured Laura if there’s no body, there’s no crime!

But unfortunately, there’s no shortage of suspects, and Britt’s too scared to squeal on Sidwell-even though she knows what she saw.

Laura and Sonny both came to the same conclusion, that it was Sidwell who planted the body and set up the flat tire to frame her!

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) coming to the scene may or may not have been a coincidence, but he didn’t find the body, since Sonny arrived and rendered assistance. But one thing is for sure-both Sonny and Laura would have a motive to murder Dalton, because of his frame-up of Rocco!

Suspicions And Accusations Fly Back And Forth Like Well-Aimed Bullets

Suspicions and accusations fly back and forth like well-aimed bullets, with the Port Charles Police Department already short-staffed and trying to solve two other cases!

One is the murder of Judge Eva Heran (Tessa Auberjonois) and the other is the attempted murder of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)! Laura’s opponent in the mayoral race, Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove), pushes to have Laura’s victory over him vacated, quite sure she and Sonny got rid of Dalton!

And in the meantime, Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) has a huge decision to make; with Dalton disappeared and calls for Laura and Sonny’s arrests, she has to act now!

Her own job is in jeopardy with calls to have her dismissed because of her friendship with Sonny-will she go with her head, or go with her heart?
