Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Suzanne Rogers Clears Up Retirement RumorsDays of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal that Suzanne Rogers (Maggie Horton Kiriakis) cleared up retirement rumors recently. Read on to see what she had to say when asked how much longer she’s be on the Peacock soap.

Suzanne Has Played Maggie Literally For Decades

Suzanne Rogers has entertained audiences for many years as Maggie Horton on Days of Our Lives, starting in 1973. As the show celebrated a significant milestone, she recently shared her experiences on the soap.

In the discussion, she also revealed her thoughts on the eventual end of her role; this comes after the actress was the focus of rumors last summer.

Rogers began her career as a dancer at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall as a Rockette, before moving on to Broadway productions. However, her most notable achievement is portraying Maggie Horton on Days of Our Lives.

Suzanne Has Been With The Show Nearly Fifty Years

Having joined the soap in 1973, Rogers has been part of the NBC/Peacock series for nearly fifty years. Through this role, she has held one of the longest-running character positions in American soap opera history.

The daytime star recently attended Peacock’s Days of Our Lives 60th Anniversary Celebration;  at the event, she reflected on the show’s journey over the years. In an interview with People, Rogers expressed pride in the show’s longevity over six decades.

She remarked, “Sixty is wonderful-I mean, not many shows can say that, I love it; It’s my whole life and my home for a long time.”

Rogers Was Asked If She Plans To Leave The Show Any Time Soon

Rogers was asked if she plans to leave the soap soon. She said that if asked to go, she would accept it gracefully, stating, “Oh, listen. If they say ‘bye,’ I’ll go – I had a good run.” She also mentioned that her retirement plans include spending time with her sister in North Carolina.

However, Rogers made it clear that as long as it’s her choice, she isn’t planning to leave anytime soon; she expressed, “I’m not going until they lock me out.” The outlet reported that there were rumors about Rogers leaving the soap earlier this summer, which worried fans about the end of Maggie’s storyline.

Rogers Was Dealing With A Serious Health Condition, But It’s Now All Cleared Up

A spokesperson for the soap dismissed those rumors, saying they “could not be further from the truth.” They added, “Maggie & Suzanne are essential to the show’s history, current storylines, and, following our renewal, the future; neither is going anywhere.”

Rogers has faced many challenges due to her colon cancer diagnosis, but she is now in remission-the spokesperson mentioned she is feeling “much better.”

Rogers herself has said she has learned not to worry about the “small things” in life and wants to keep bringing Maggie to life for her fans. What do you think about Rogers’ recent comments, have you been following Days of Our Lives?
