Beyond The Gates Given Major Nod As One Of The Best Shows In 2025

EW Lists BTG In Their Top 10

As fans approach the final weeks of 2025, it’s natural to see a ton of “top” lists for this year, all across the web.

Entertainment Weekly (EW) recently released its, “10 best TV shows of 2025 (and 5 worst)”, and the new CBS soap made it’s top 10 list. In fact, it was the only daytime drama that hit the list.

In EW’s synopsis of why Beyond the Gates was rated one of the top television shows of this year, they highlighted storylines like, Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) ruining Ted Richardson’s (Keith D. Robinson) and Nicole Dupree’s (Daphnee Duplaix) marriage by revealing their decades-old affair, and love child, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle), as well as the steamy (and secret) romance between Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman). In addition, Martin Richardson’s (Brandon Claybon) violent secret from his past was also mentioned.

EW even quoted Soapdish’s Garry Marshall by saying, “This is soap opera!”
