The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) fell in love with a woman he never expected to consider. No, that doesn’t mean his wife. The reference is about Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).
Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) pursued Deacon, as devoted fans recall. The memorable moment when she sat aside of him at Il Giardino and initially pitched being together included Kanan’s dialogue about skin-crawling rather than attraction.
In one of the more inspired castings, B&B’s arguable all-time leading villain and one of its greatest bad boys coupled. Recent times have included connected family drama, but, for the most part, both people have avoided creating drama.
Intriguingly, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) have been open about their mutual Sheila concerns. That implies Deacon’s children would back a pairing with Taylor.
Openly Stating A Death Threat
A hint of what was on the soapy horizon happened when Sheila first went to Taylor’s psychiatry office. She was concerned that Deacon’s desire to seek counseling, in response to Sheila’s perceived betrayal, was a veiled threat to their marriage.
Deacon decided that Sheila shouldn’t have withheld Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) existence from him. While true, she was also in an impossible position because Li Nozawa (Naomi Matsuda) perpetrated that death hoax, not Sheila.
Sheila understood Deacon’s feelings of betrayal and encouraged him to seek help from Taylor, whom she considered an ally.
Budig’s character was supportive of Sheila before she accidentally shot John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and purposely sent a bullet into Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Li was shocked when Sheila said she would kill Taylor if she interfered with her marriage or tried to take Deacon from her. Sheila later said she didn’t mean it, but fans felt a setup between the lines.
Taylor Hayes Is Considering Her Next Love
As many expected and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) repeatedly tried to warn, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) wasn’t going to be with Taylor on any long-term basis. He loves Brooke, returned to her after the life-saving rescue in Italy, and remarried his true love for the ninth time.
Left alone again, Taylor chose to focus on her children, grandchildren, and the practice she reestablished when returning from world travels. Accepting Deacon as a patient wasn’t in the plan, but neither was being drawn to him.
Deacon Sharpe Sees Stable Grass On The Other Side
Deacon believes that Taylor is the type of woman who can permanently stabilize his life. He’s romanticizing what a switch to her would be like.
The first barrier he would face is Sheila’s vengeful, likely unhinged backlash. She could pursue the threat that Li heard or go after Deacon directly, believing there was nothing to lose.
But Sheila’s almost certain reversion to her villainous ways would also be coupled by Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) reaction and Brooke weighing in, though she might support Deacon’s attempted shift from Sheila to Taylor, with his children also potentially being inclined to do the same.
