‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Recap Friday, December 5: Eric Railroaded, Finn’s Assurance, Daphne’s Gift

The Bold and the Beautiful recap is in for Friday, December 5, 2025. In today’s episode, Eric Forrester (John McCook) is blindsided.

John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) tries to reassure Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Plus, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) has a gift for a special man, but it’s not Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). (Make sure to check out our WEEKLY B&B spoilers, here!)

Eric Forrester’s Excitement

In the showroom, Donna Logan Forrester (Jennifer Gareis) greets Eric. Donna brought what he asked for. Eric says that it’s not an entire collection, but Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will change his mind once he sees these designs.

Donna is worried. Eric says she is starting to sound like Ridge. Donna is worried about the added stress. It’s important that he also relaxes. Eric says he can do that.

Ridge Forrester’s Surprise

Eric gets a text from Ridge. He’s wanted in the office. Eric is so excited to show his son these designs! Meanwhile, Ridge brings in an ice bucket and champagne into the office.

There is a chocolate cake on the conference room table. Ridge thinks about the last time Eric got intense about working.

It was when he was dying. Ridge is worried. It’s why he’s doing this, before the job kills his dad.

Daphne Rose’s Gift

Carter and Daphne enter. Daphne brought a special cologne for a one-of-a-kind man. Ridge reminds everyone what the party is about.

Daphne wonders if Eric really has to accept this. Daphne doesn’t mean to be rude; things are done differently in France.

They view elders with a lot of respect and reverence. Nothing like this. Daphne thinks Eric should be able to decide his own future.

John Finnegan’s Assurance

In another office, SINN kisses. Finn can tell something is off. Steffy is just worried about how her grandfather is going to take this retirement surprise.

Finn explains that’s why Ridge wants his father to retire now. Eric’s health should be his first priority!

Finn says that she is coming from a place of love. Finn thinks Eric will eventually understand. Steffy is worried that Eric isn’t going to accept the retirement party very well.

However, she agrees with Ridge, it’s time for Eric to close this chapter.

Retirement Refusal

Everyone gathers in the office. Eric enters and is shocked to find out that he’s retiring! Eric says he and Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) built FC from the ground up!

Eric decides what to do! He refuses to participate in the retirement party, but Ridge says he has no choice.
