Who is Sally Spectra Sr. On Bold and the Beautiful?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers make it clear that the name Sally Spectra is one fans are familiar with in spades. Right now Sally Spectra Jr. (Courtney Hope) is pulling a master con in which she has half the town thinking she’s inches away from death.

But the Jr. behind her name means there’s a Sally Spectra 1.0 and that role was played to perfection by Darlene Conley.

The late actress had the kind of incandescent presence that made fans sit up and take notice and she absolutely stole every scene she was in. Thus far we’ve seen her in a few flashback episodes, but on Monday the grande dame will be featured opposite her enemy Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) and you better believe the fur will fly!

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers – Who was Sally Spectra Sr.?

Sally Spectra Sr. owned and operated Spectra Creations and as such competed with Forrester Creations. She had a dramatic red coif and appeared to think every day was full of ripe possibilities just waiting to be plucked. Primary on her agenda for a long time was the purloining of Forrester designs which she passed off as her own.

Designer Clarke Garrison (Daniel McVicar) married Sally even though she blackmailed him in the beginning. Together they had a son, C.J. (Mick Cain). When she found out Clarke was having an affair with Kristen Forrester (then played by Terri Ann Linn) they divorced and he left town.

Unfortunately, her business failed and she went work at Forrester Creations as a receptionist.  Viewers last saw her in 2006 and just months later Darlene Conley passed away.  Her relationship with Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) was a highlight of the show. Sally called Stephanie “Highness” or “Queenie.” But in the end Sally was accepted by the Forrester’s partly because her daughters were married to a Forrester son.  In 2017, the soap introduced Sally Spectra Jr., the grand-niece of Original Sally.

This week you don’t want to miss the argument between Sally and Stephanie after Stephanie disses her rival to a trade paper. Sally sashays to the mansion and she and Stephanie engage in an intense war of words. Their battle turns physical and Sally ends up in the pool, which happened more than once over the course of time when Sally was in a huff.
