General Hospital recaps for Tuesday, December 9, reveal Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had a hangover while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) watched over her.
Also, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) was livid at Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna), and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) heard from “Anna Devane” (Finola Hughes).
Alexis Davis’s Pre-Trial Meeting
While waiting for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to come for a meeting, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gave files to Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
These were for another case, so that Alexis could focus on Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial. Then, Suzanne (Jen Ray) came and asked to join the trial prep, saying she could help with Alexis and Drew.
When Drew and Willow got to the house, the congressman got upset seeing Suzanne and Marco. Drew didn’t want anyone else there who could create a problem for Willow’s case.
Drew Cain Caused A Fuss
He didn’t want to meet at Miller & Davis because he feared Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) might overhear and tell her clients, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
When Drew told Marco to leave, Marco reminded him that his father was also a client and wouldn’t like his interests ignored; however, he left for another meeting anyway.
Drew wanted Suzanne to go too, but Alexis’s assistant said she could be the jury while Willow practiced her testimony, which Willow thought was a good idea.
During their practice round, Alexis took on the role of Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) and questioned Drew about the night he was shot.
Drew, annoyed, felt it was unnecessary as he disliked revisiting that night, but Alexis insisted it was important. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)
Drew Remembers
With a sigh, Drew recounted that evening, remembering taking Willow’s ring from the safe, putting it on the mantel, and then being shot twice.
When Alexis asked Drew if he remembered anything else, he felt there was more, but couldn’t recall it. Alexis urged him to find that memory, as it might help identify the shooter.
Drew snapped that they already knew Michael shot him, and that’s what he would tell the jury; Alexis warned him it wasn’t wise since there was no proof. Drew countered that even if Justine objected to mentioning Michael, the jury would still be influenced.
Alexis Davis’s Frustration
Alexis forcefully tossed her legal pad onto the table, cautioning Drew against attempting any deceitful maneuvers while on the stand.
She emphasized that her case would gain significant strength if the police acknowledged their hasty judgment and the fact that they had mistakenly targeted the wrong individual.
Meanwhile, Willow earnestly urged Drew to allow Alexis to take charge of the situation, and he consented to refrain from bringing up Michael’s name.
Following that, Alexis expressed her desire to go over her other possible witnesses, which caused Willow to feel distressed since she would not be taking the stand herself.
Britt Westbourne’s Hangover
General Hospital recaps for Tuesday, December 9 note that Britt woke up with a hangover and found Jason in her room, with little memory of the night before.
She recalled hanging out with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) until Jason arrived, then asked him to explain what happened. He told her he brought her back and gave her medication because she was too drunk to inject herself.
Britt was upset and assumed Jason wanted to know about her medication. He said he had questions but would wait for her to share when she was ready.
Jason Morgan Sensed She Was Scared
Then, Jason sensed that Britt had been drinking because something had frightened her, and he expressed his hope that she would eventually understand he was on her side.
He then encouraged her to share with him what was troubling her. With her back turned to Jason, Britt struggled to hold back tears, but when she finally faced him, she dismissed him with a laugh.
She lied, insisting she had no memory of what had upset her the previous night, but after asking him to leave, Britt expressed her gratitude to Jason for looking after her.
Once she was alone in her room, she murmured to herself, “And not mentioning that I dared you to kiss me.”

Marco Rios Arrived
Later, while holding her medication box, Britt reminisced about the events of the previous night and muttered that next time, she would drink enough to truly black out.
Marco then arrived at her room to hand over a key fob for a new lab that his father had established, allowing her to continue their research.
Surprised by the revelation that Marco was keeping tabs on her, Britt cautioned him not to push her, as they needed her for the project.
Marco responded that he recognized the “certain value” she contributed to the research. But he emphasized that no one was irreplaceable, warning her that his father’s patience was running out.
Valentin Cassadine’s Favor
After a night spent freezing in Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) shed, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) entered the house to warm up following Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) departure.
Carly mentioned she was searching for another hiding spot for him since he couldn’t stay in the house once Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) returned from Sonny’s.
He requested Carly to relay a message to Anna, but she informed him that Anna was away on a WSB mission. Producing a key, he asked Carly for a blue ribbon.
As he fashioned a bow on the key, Valentin revealed that the color served as a secret signal for Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), indicating he was safe but needed her to remain where she was.
A Message For Charlotte Cassadine
He requested Carly to leave the key at Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) house for Charlotte to discover. Concerned that Charlotte might attempt to visit him at her home, Carly felt it was unwise, but Valentin insisted that Charlotte anticipated him reaching out to her.
Later, Carly visited Lulu’s house pretending to check on Charlotte and dropped off Valentin’s key. Charlotte complained about feeling trapped, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) assured her things would get better once they located Valentin.
After Dante and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) returned to the station and Charlotte went upstairs, Lulu worried that Valentin might come for Charlotte, and Carly hid the key under the front porch rail.
Lulu Spencer’s Worry
General Hospital recaps for December 9 reveal Lulu told Nathan, who had stayed overnight at her house, that she barely slept; when Dante arrived, Lulu asked if there was any news on Valentin.
Charlotte added that the police wouldn’t find her dad unless he wanted them to. Dante asked if Valentin had contacted her, and Charlotte replied that Nathan took her phone and kept her home from school, so her dad couldn’t reach her.
Feeling imprisoned, Charlotte stepped outside for fresh air. When Nathan checked on her, Charlotte remarked that her dad knew how to stay hidden, and Nathan thought Valentin loved her too much to get in touch.

Lulu’s Overwhelmed
Meanwhile, Lulu expressed to Dante that she was overwhelmed with worry for Charlotte and Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) trial.
Dante mentioned that the PCPD was also searching for Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and considered that Sonny might have killed the professor to protect Rocco.
Then, Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) came and asked to speak with Lulu privately. She refused his request to talk to Charlotte, boasting that Valentin had outsmarted the WSB agent in his escape plan from Steinmauer.
Charlotte descended the stairs while her mom and Jack were in the midst of a disagreement, and she decided to have a conversation with Brennan.
Jack Brennan’s Inquiry
Jack was curious if she could reach her father, and Charlotte complained again that the police had taken her phone. Jack noted that there must be another way for them to communicate since Valentin would never trust phones.
When Charlotte stayed quiet, he expressed his frustration, saying he couldn’t ensure her father’s safety if the girl didn’t cooperate. Annoyed with Brennan, Lulu told Charlotte to leave them alone, and the girl went to sit on the porch.
Lulu Ripped Into Brennan
General Hospital recaps relay that Lulu confronted Jack for threatening her daughter to make her help him, insisting that Charlotte shouldn’t feel responsible for Brennan’s mistake.
Jack responded that he wanted Valentin captured alive, and the longer the search continued, the higher the risk that Charlotte would be used as bait. Outside, a frustrated Charlotte sat down in one of the porch chairs.
Then, she noticed the key with the blue ribbon and recognized it as a sign from her father. Charlotte was relieved to know he was okay.
ADA Justine Turner Talks Sonny Corinthos
At the PCPD, Justine inquired of Mac Scorpio (John J. York) whether he thought Sonny might have killed Professor Dalton to safeguard Rocco.
Believing that Sonny definitely could have done it, Mac then asked her if she thought Dalton was actually dead. Justine shared her theory that Dalton had fabricated the story about Rocco wrecking the lab, and his later appearance made her suspect Sonny’s involvement.
Mac concurred that it was a possibility, telling her that even with his charm and charitable acts, Corinthos was still a criminal and a murderer, particularly when it came to defending his family.
Justine Targets Sonny
Later, Justine and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) were in the interrogation room reviewing the case. Molly mentioned that she was uncertain about how the DA’s office should move forward since their key witness was absent.
She suggested to Justine that they might want to revisit the original plea deal, and Turner disclosed that she had no intention of prosecuting Rocco for a crime he didn’t commit.
But she wouldn’t allow Sonny to escape punishment for murdering Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard). Unable to defend her uncle, Molly admitted that she hoped he hadn’t killed the professor, but there was no way to be certain.

Molly Lansing-Davis Chimes In
Molly then expressed her surprise that Justine was suspicious of Sonny, given that the two had been getting along better recently.
Justine responded that it was all a facade; she was merely pretending to be charmed by Sonny so that it would be more gratifying when she ultimately sent him to prison.
Molly felt relieved that her boss recognized Sonny for who he truly is, but cautioned her that others before her believed they could take him down and failed.
With a grin, Justine asserted that it was because they confronted him head-on, but she was pretending to be on Sonny’s side- until she decided otherwise.
Laura Collins Regrets
At Sonny’s house, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) expressed her regret for involving him in the situation with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
She detailed how Sidwell orchestrated everything with Dalton in her car and how Sonny’s participation was an added advantage.
Sonny questioned whether Sidwell was aware that Jason had also been at the location, then informed a stunned Laura that the other man possessed the gun that had her DNA all over it.
As they exchanged information, Laura disclosed that Sidwell expected her, as mayor, to obey his commands, to which Sonny responded that, first, he needed to sell his piers to Sidwell.
Sharing that he had some strategies to free them from Sidwell’s grasp, Sonny urged Laura to stay strong until he could resolve the situation.
Laura Worried
Laura worried that Sidwell would expect her to implement his policies, and she was concerned about how his demands could affect the PCPD with Dante now serving as the acting police commissioner.
Sonny reminded Laura of the time when the two of them, along with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), had united to take down Frank Smith (Joe Cortese), and they could do it again with Sidwell.
With tears in her eyes, Laura reached out from her spot on the couch to take Sonny’s hand from where he sat on the coffee table and nodded. It had been many, many years ago, but she agreed that how they solved the Frank Smith problem would work on Sidwell.
Jason Joined In
Later, Jason joined Sonny and Laura, agreeing that they needed to cooperate with Sidwell; he promised to remain as clean as possible while managing those demands for Sonny.
Jason thought that the more Sidwell depended on them, the more he would reveal about his organization. Sonny believed that the demands Sidwell placed on Laura as mayor would provide them with insights into his true motives for being in Port Charles.
Noting that Sidwell was arrogant enough to think Laura was entirely under his control, Sonny proposed that Laura use this to her advantage to make him lower his defenses.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Laura pledged to extract information from Sidwell so they could take him down together.

Emma Scorpio-Drake’s “Anna” Message
In the squad room, Emma came to inform her great uncle Mac that she had received a voicemail from Anna, although in reality, it was someone impersonating her.
Anna mentioned that she likely wouldn’t be able to call again but would return to Port Charles as soon as possible. As their discussion shifted to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), Mac pondered whether he should cease dividing his time between Boston and Port Charles.
He also asked if Georgie Jones (Lily Fisher) and James West (Gary James Fuller) had said anything to Emma about his reduced presence.
Emma comforted Mac, advising him not to doubt what he believed was best for his family, asserting that this would be her grandmother’s counsel to him if Anna were present.
More PCPD Action
Across the room, General Hospital recaps state that Nathan and Dante were deep in conversation about Valentin, and it seems Nathan has a better opinion of him than Dante.
Nathan believed that Valentin would maintain his distance from Charlotte, he would do the same if it were James, he thought. However, Dante countered that Valentin was a selfish individual who desired to have his daughter close.
Nathan reflected that locating Valentin would be much simpler if Anna were present. Dante, on the other hand, speculated whether Anna was the one who assisted him in escaping.
Anna Devane’s Frustration
Carly came back home from Lulu’s place and informed Valentin that she had concealed the key for Charlotte to discover. She also consented to let him hide in her attic and inquired how long he intended to linger around her house.
“Until Anna returns,” Valentin answered. Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location, Anna was meditating in the grim room where she was being held captive.
Rising to her feet, she moved toward the mirrored glass window and shouted in frustration, “What do you want from me?!?” Be sure to catch up on everything happening with GH right now. Come back here often for General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates.
