At least he’s being honest with himself, right? Well, that’s what a lot of royalists on both sides of the pond are thinking to themselves when it comes to Prince William.
That’s because even the future king of England knows the royal family is becoming irrelevant and that’s mostly because of all the ‘pomp’ surrounding them, if you know what we mean.
Even Prince William Knows The Royal Family Is Becoming Irrelevant Because Of This Reason
While King Charles still thinks about pomp and ceremony, Prince William is trying to lean in a different direction.
One source close to the situation even put it this way, “William’s view is, actually, ‘We’re becoming irrelevant. People are just laughing at us.’”
As our loyal readers can imagine, the internet had a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “Pomp is less popular nowadays because it usually means a fifth luxury estate for a lazy couple and outfits paid by the public that no one could really afford.”

“But that’s really just a symptom of the real problem. Their real problem is that the current Prince of Wales is mean, lazy and completely out of touch. People wouldn’t mind the pomp if it was accompanied by actual work.”
Another critic wrote, “He either doesn’t get what the actual problem is or doesn’t care. He’ll never admit it’s really him and everyone else. They’ve repeatedly shielded pedophiles now and the public knows more about it, too.”
“Yeah the pomp is a problem for struggling families but he could use his wealth and status to help. He chooses not to. Period. He’s in his 5th mansion ‘forever home’ while people starve.”
And then there was this comment as well: “The problem isn’t the pomp. If William truly wants to modernize the monarchy, he needs to stop teasing these irrelevant minutiae already.”
“A modern monarchy would be transparent about the duchies’ finances, including his own income tax payments. A modern monarch would downsize the number of houses they helicopter between, and consider using limos.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

I think there are a lot changes coming with William.
how come people forgot Megan cut her off completly after all the negativity she spewed on public television
If the monarchy is to continue with credibility to the public, then there’s going to have to be a drastic transition from opulence and ceremony to advocacy for the people. This will require intensive training and human rights, social justice, and civics. none of these people have grown up in a normal setting and certainly have not been exposed to the trials and tribulations of the general public. I don’t think that we will see the change as necessary in Williams reign because he’s middle-age now and understandably that in his ways. But he could turn the monarchy in that direction and prepare his son and all the youngsters in the family to really make a difference in the world for their subjects. And stop calling the people subjects as well. They’re actually your employers the monarchy should be less about pump, ceremony, opulence, bowing, and curtseying, crowns and robes and thrones and ribbon-cutting and more about justice, advocacy, dignity, and empowerment, for those who are not born into a palace lifestyle. It is completely possible to be involved as a leader, mentor, advocate, role model, without being involved in politics. Look at princess Diana. The success of the monarchy really depends on George, and his siblings, and all the grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth. I’m 65 now. I don’t live in the world like it was 40 years ago and neither should the little his or her majesties. There’s no room for hero worship anymore. There’s no room for thinking royalty is better than being common. We outgrown that and the monarchy needs to catch up.
