General Hospital Spoilers: Five Reasons Why Valentin Must Be The One To Rescue Anna

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there are five reasons why Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) must be the one to rescue Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)! Let’s talk about exactly what these five reasons are, and dive into how he might do it.

Reason Number One: Fans Want Valentin And Anna To Be Back Together

Although there’s a small subset of GH fans who think Valentin and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) are hot, Valentin has been in love with Anna for years!

And deep down, she probably still loves him too, although her being a police commissioner and him being considered a criminal, and now a fugitive, makes things a little difficult.

But that’s not why she broke up with him-and she was the one who broke up with him-not he with her, in spite of the horrible reason.

Charlotte Cassadine, (Bluesy Burke) under the influence of tarot cards her grandfather Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) gave her that summer he held her captive, stalked Anna and burned down her house.

Anna, paranoid over who might be targeting her, accidentally shot Charlotte, who’d broken into her apartment, and Anna couldn’t forgive herself.

Reason Number Two: Valentin Already Knows Anna’s In Danger

Reason number two, Valentin already knows Anna’s in danger, because when Carly told him Anna was on a secret WSB mission, he knows that she couldn’t be.

Valentin knows that Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) forced her out of the WSB, citing her ancient past as a double agent for the WSB and the DVX.

And some of that history very well could have been when her twin, Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) was impersonating her!

It’s still a mystery how Brennan went from being in Pentonville while Valentin was on the run with Charlotte, to WSB field station chief-something fishy’s going on there too! 

Valentin likely suspects Jack has something to do with Anna’s disappearance, even though he claims to be after Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and drone-bombed his operation in Somalia.

Reason Number Three: Valentin Is A Legendary Agent, One Of The Best Students That The WSB Ever Had

When Valentin was in spy school, along with Jack and Anna, before she met and married Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) he was a legendary agent-one of the best students the WSB ever had.

Back then he went by “Ivan Theodore” and because of his terrible case of scoliosis, rather than becoming a field agent he became an analyst agent.

However, due to various reasons, he left the WSB and became a mercenary, working with many villainous characters including drug lord Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

It’s his knowledge of Faison’s last project that Brennan is after, recently revealing to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that the WSB-or possibly, Brennan himself-wants the technology.

Chances are, Valentin is already more familiar with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Pascal (Marc Forget) than he wants to be, and they are heavily involved in the secret project.

Reason Number Four: If Anyone Can Find Anna, It’s Valentin!

If anyone can find Anna, it’s Valentin, and learning that both Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) are “back from the dead” he is suspicious.

His suspicion mirrors Anna’s, although he may have known about Britt faking her death since he knows about Cesar’s last project, which he may have even been involved in previously.

Sidwell is, although he claims he WAS a mercenary, so it may be from Valentin’s mercenary days that he knows him and likely knows Pascal from that time too.

When Valentin was married to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) it is obvious he already knew Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) from when she ran after Faison.

He had a connection to Nathan as well, because Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson) who was Nathan’s first wife, was also Charlotte’s first nanny.

Reason Number Five: Valentin Is Far More Familiar With Wyndemere Than Sidwell Thinks!

Last but not least, Valentin is far more familiar with Wyndemere than Sidwell thinks, and in December 10^th’s GH episode, it was revealed that Anna’s kidnapper is Pascal.

 Sidwell’s probably in on it too, because no one wants that secret technology to be exposed; and as far as where Anna is?

That is probably under the castle, in part of one of the catacombs that run under it all the way into Port Charles, and it may be the other secret lab mentioned.

Valentin did close off a lot of passageways during the time he and Charlotte lived there with Nina, and Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) may have as well.

But it’s obvious that Sidwell knows about all of them, and the room Anna is captive in may well be the same place Robert and Anna trapped Faison in in 2012!
