Law enforcement says they found two bodies in the home and they have been identified as the Reiners. Reports say that both bodies had lacerations consistent with a knife.

According To PEOPLE, several sources have reported that their son, Nick Reiner was the attacker in this homicide. “In a 2016 interview with PEOPLE, Nick spoke about his years-long struggle with drug addiction, which began in his early teens and eventually left him living on the streets.

He said he cycled in and out of rehab beginning around age 15, but as his addiction escalated, he drifted farther from home and spent significant stretches homeless in multiple states.”

Dispatch Audio Captures Call For Backup

The Dispatch audio reveals that a fire fighter called for backup to the Brentwood home Sunday around 3:30. However, no other information about the home was included.

Rob was the son of Carl Reiner, famed comedian. Carl passed away in 2020 started his career in the 1960’s as a comedy writer. Carl worked as Steve Martin’s co-writer in the Smother’s Brother’s comedy hour in 1968 and ‘69.

Rob starred on All In The Family during the 1970s as Michael “Meathead” Stivic, the son in law of Archie Bunker (Carroll O’Connor) and Edith Bunker (Jean Stapleton).

Reiner won won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Michael was married to the Bunkers daughter Gloria Stivic played by Sally Struthers.

There was 205 episodes of All In the Family that ran during its course. The show ended in 1979. Younger fans may recognize Rob from his acting role as Jess’ father Bob on “New Girl” … or his last part in season 4 of “The Bear” as businessman Albert Schnur.”
