Beyond the Gates spoilers note that viewers got an insight into Lynette and Hayley’s past during the Monday, December 15 episode.

Lynette entered the canvas on Friday, December 12 as Bill Hamilton’s (Timon Durrett) new client, and after the ladies were introduced, Hayley ran to her cousin Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) to update him on the latest turn of events.

It was quite a coincidence that Lynette retained Bill (of all people) to be her lawyer, and Randy noted that he doesn’t believe in coincidences, so what’s Lynette really up to?

Does Lynette Want A Piece Of The Action?

Lynette and Hayley (or should we say, “Val”, which seems to be her “real” name) were old partners-in-crime.

Lynette is being accused of extortion in her case that Bill is overseeing, so it’s clear that Lynette hasn’t changed from her days with Hayley/Val, and the same could be said about Hayley/Val!

Lynette knows she’s got the goods to destroy Hayley’s current situation. While Lynette doesn’t know that Hayley is trying to poison her husband, she likely knows that Hayley scammed Bill into falling in love with her, so she could marry him and drain his accounts.

Does Lynette have proof of her and Hayley’s past schemes? Did she purposely come to Fairmont Crest to nail Hayley and blackmail her?

Whether Lynette is desperate for money or not, she could see Hayley’s situation as an opportunity to earn more money; however, could Hayley also see an opportunity with Lynette?

Maybe Hayley pulls her into her #KillBill scheme as she could use the help, or maybe she can use Lynette in other ways … like to pin her for Bill’s poisoning if doctors find the substance in his system (whether he passes away, or not!)
