Billy Abbot Gives Phyllis Summers A Second Chance on The Young and The Restless

As Y&R fans know, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) isn’t the most popular person in Genoa City. She wanted to regain her role as a successful businesswoman in Genoa City. Phyllis teamed with Victor (Eric Braeden) to turn on Cane (Billy Flynn).

The redhead stole Cane’s AI software to make a deal with Victor. He was supposed to give her control of Jabot when he took the company from the Abbotts. Unfortunately, she made a mistake trusting the shady businessman.

To the surprise of no one, Victor turned on the redhead. He felt like he didn’t need Phyllis or the software to go after the Abbott family. Victor didn’t need her help so he backed out of the deal. His decision left her with nothing.

The town turned against her when they found out she worked with Victor. In Phyllis’ mind, she doesn’t have a friend in the world. Fortunately for Phyllis, she may have one friend left. Her ex-lover Billy (Jason Thompson) makes her an interesting offer.

His offer could give her a chance to work at Abbott Communications. Billy was going to hire her before, but he fired her after they argued. He may have a change of heart and welcome her to the company after all.

Phyllis wants to be involved in businessworld again so Billy’s job offer could be the answer to her prayers. Unfortunately, Phyllis shouldn’t put the cart before the horse. The job may not be easy for her to get. She has to face a major obstacle with Jill (Jess Walton).

Jill backs Billy’s company and makes the final decision for it. She didn’t want Phyllis working with the company the first time so she won’t appreciate her working there now.

Phyllis also has to deal with the possibility that Billy’s intentions aren’t genuine. He knows that Jabot needs the AI software to save the company. Phyllis knows how to get access to the software.

The savvy businesswoman will have to prove her loyalty if she wants to work with Abbott Communications. Her best chance of getting a job at the company is to get the AI software back. Phyllis could make up for what she did and get revenge on Victor at the same time.

Are Billy’s intentions genuine? Does he really want to work with her or is he setting her up for a fall? Is Phyllis prepared to get double crossed again? How will she react if Billy turns on her again?
