The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers and updates suggest that a tense reunion may be on the horizon for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Will Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) husband issue a strong warning?

Liam Has Always Hated Thomas, Especially For His Obsession With Hope

Liam has never been particularly fond of Thomas for numerous reasons, including Thomas’ past obsession with Hope, the Baby Beth Spencer (Jordyn Gracie) storyline, and the kiss in Italy that altered everything.

Even though Thomas insists he has changed, Liam cannot simply forget his past and the harm that was caused. While Thomas was off-screen in Paris, Liam didn’t have to think about him much.

However, with Thomas making a significant return to Forrester Creations, you can be sure that he will be on Liam’s mind- Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is eager to have Thomas back.

She has set him up as the lead designer for HFTF, so it’s likely that Liam will have a lot to say about this development in the upcoming episodes.

Hope For The Future Is Hope’s Line, So Thomas Will Be Working Closely With Hope

Indeed, Liam and Thomas might be overdue for a fiery showdown; their dynamic as adversaries on B&B has always been strong, and their well-known rivalry could resurface. Naturally, Thomas may pretend he’s not looking for conflict.

He might argue that he’s merely reclaiming his rightful position at Forrester Creations, claiming that his input on Hope’s line will elevate it significantly.

Conversely, Liam could perceive Thomas as intruding where he has no place, especially since Hope has moved on in various aspects. Hope is joyfully remarried to Liam and is eager for a new beginning with the relaunch of Hope for the Future.

It’s Very Likely Liam Will Confront Thomas

It’s easy to picture Liam eventually confronting Thomas and suggesting they clarify a few matters.

Liam may emphasize that he is firmly back in the role of husband and assert that it’s his responsibility to protect Hope from harm. Given Thomas’s past actions that hurt Hope, Liam might caution that such behavior must not occur again.

While Liam cannot dictate who Steffy and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) choose for Hope for the Future, he may take it upon himself to prevent Thomas’s obsession with Hope from reigniting.

Regardless, it would be entertaining to witness Thomas and Liam clash once more after all this time.

Thomas Asks For Time Alone With Hope

Thomas asks for time alone with Hope in the Monday, December 22 episode, so that might just set Liam off!  If Liam presses enough of Thomas’s buttons, Thomas might retaliate and make it clear that he does not take kindly to threats.

Who can forget the time they fought on the roof, and had Hope not gone up and intervened, one could have plunged to his death?
