Beyond The Gates Comings And Goings: Y&R Alum Jordi Vilasuso Joins The CBS Soap

Beyond the Gates spoilers and updates reveal a familiar face is headed to Fairmont Crest, and he could change Ashley Morgan’s (Jen Jacob) life: or, at least her love life! Soap alum Jordi Vilasuso, last seen as Rey Rosales on The Young And The Restless, joins BTG in the upcoming season.

Vilasuso Appeared In A Promo For Season Two

Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that Vilasuso is making a return to the world of soap operas. In a promotional video for Season 2, the actor, who began his career in daytime television on CBS’s Guiding Light, was seen alongside Jen Jacob’s character Ashley in a scene set in Uptown.

Unfortunately, that is all the information that is currently available-there has been no announcement regarding the character he will portray on BTG or how his character will initially interact with Ashley.

The Emmy-winning actor has an impressive list of soap opera credits, including roles in Days of Our Lives and All My Children and on Y&R from 2018 to 2022.

Most recently, he has taken on the role of Justin Ramos in the streaming soap opera, The Bay, which also features DAYS’s Mary Beth Evans, Matthew Ashford, and Brandon Beemer, along with BTG’s Mike Manning.

Is Ashley Finally Moving On From Derek And Andre?

If Vilasuso is portraying Ashley’s romantic interest, it indicates that her personal life is on the verge of a significant change, and hopefully, for the better since she seems to have bad luck.

The nurse has recently ended her engagement with firefighter Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin), after he faked his recovery from paralysis, although he meant it as a pleasant surprise.

One of the other factors contributing to the breakup was her lingering feelings for Andre Hamilton (Sean Freeman), who is now wed to former supermodel Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).

Therefore, this suggests that Ashley is not only moving on from Derek but is also finally letting go of Andre as well.

The CBS Soap Is Getting Ready For A Milestone, Airing Its 200^th Episode

Beyond the Gates is approaching the end of its first successful season, and is getting ready to begin season two.

In the week ahead, the show will mark another milestone by airing its 200th episode. Vilasuso is poised to join the soap opera for its second season, and more information about his character should be forthcoming soon.

He won’t be the only newcomer; DAYS’ Greg Vaughan has already appeared in two episodes of Beyond The Gates. He appears as orthopedic surgeon Kial Rollins and is set to come back for more episodes.
