Kit’s Suspicions, George And Glenda’s Party
Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) grows wary when Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) mentions that Carla Connor (Alison King) hasn’t replied to any of her emails. He decides to take a look at her diary.
At the Bistro, the locals are assembling for the joint celebration of George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger).
Nick Tilsey (Ben Price) proposes to Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) that they should go for a run together. But Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) is not pleased when Sarah reveals that he was Todd’s first crush.
Billy Worries About Todd, Will Makes A Suggestion
Theo volunteers to fetch a cake for the party, while Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) observes with concern as he nudges Todd towards the exit. At the cake shop, he scolds Todd for flirting with Nick and then leaves without him.
Meanwhile, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) urges Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) to mend fences with Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn).
This is even though he suspects that his son is being influenced by his mother. Later, Maggie admits that she was wrong to criticize Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley).
Becky’s Desperation, Abi Confides In Tracy
Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) becomes increasingly desperate as she continues with her plan to escape to Spain alongside Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin).
Meanwhile, with Theo doing everything he can to drive a wedge between Todd and Billy, is his abusive behavior on the verge of being revealed? Maggie extends a lukewarm apology to Eva, while the Driscolls ponder if they can move past their issues.
Elsewhere, Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) confides in Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford), breaking down and expressing her fears that her relationship might end in heartbreak.
After deciding to skip his physiotherapy session, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) questions whether Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is afraid to attempt walking.
Kit Asks Questions, Billy Asks About Signs Of Domestic Abuse
Kit requests Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) to gather information from her colleagues, hoping that DI Jerome Costello (Daon Broni) mentioned any specific words during his hospital visit.
She discloses that he kept repeating three particular phrases – leading Kit to deduce that it’s a reference to a ‘what three words’ location.
Meanwhile, Billy inquires with Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) about the domestic abuse Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) endured during her marriage to Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), and how to identify the signs.
Todd joins him, along with George, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) for drinks at the Rovers, clearly anxious about something.
Carl Grieves His Mother, Ryan Makes A Discovery
In another part of town, Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) wishes to bid farewell to his mother Elaine Webster (Judy Gridley) at the chapel of rest.
Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) offers to accompany him after learning about their difficult relationship during his childhood. When Carl shares that he struggles to express love as an adult, Ronnie questions his dedication to Abi.
Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) finds himself puzzled when an invoice is pursued at the hotel, soon realizing that all the passwords for Chariot Square have been altered.
Tyrone makes his way into the Rovers on crutches for New Year’s drinks, receiving a round of applause, while Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) sits alone, wearing a somber expression.
Kit Pays Costello A Visit, Todd Is Again Abused
Kit pays a visit to Costello in the hospital, explaining that he discovered the vacant flat and is aware that it belongs to him. After he departs, Becky reveals herself and expresses her gratitude to Costello for not abandoning her.
Lisa shares her plans to relocate to Spain with her family but insists on informing Carla in person; meanwhile, Becky resolves to hasten her operation, leading to terrifying outcomes.
Todd suffers anxiety when Billy and Summer unexpectedly show up-Theo questions Billy about ‘the parishioner’ who is enduring domestic violence, and it soon becomes clear that his ruse might be exposed.
Once they leave, Todd again falls prey to Theo’s cruel mistreatment, as he blames his partner for his loss of control.
Sally Arranges A Special Gift For Debbie, Shona Gets A Frightening Pain
Seizing the chance, Todd rushes out of the flat and later listens to a voicemail from Theo, who claims he can’t imagine living without him. Debbie feels moved when Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) arranges a pre-wedding pampering session at No. 4.
She confides in her friends that she hopes Kevin can set aside his resentment towards Carl for her special occasion, prompting Sally to have a chat with her ex-husband.
Energized by their discussion, Kevin insists on speaking with Carl. Meanwhile, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) experiences a painful twinge and has difficulty breathing, leading David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) to take her to the hospital.
Debbie’s A Ball Of Nerves
Debbie is anxious that her broken glasses might be a bad sign on her wedding day. Bernie Winter Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove) assures her that she will find something to bring her good fortune, but as the guests start arriving at the venue, the item is nowhere in sight.
Asha confides in Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) that she has stopped taking her antidepressants, while Tracy confronts Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) for getting too close to her daughter.
Before heading to the wedding, Abi discovers a bag of cash in Carl’s car; upon arriving at the hotel, she opens the boot only to find the money has vanished. She quickly informs Kevin that she suspects Carl is planning to flee.
Debbie Makes A Striking Entrance, Billy Discovers Todd’s Abuse
Fortunately, Debbie finally shows up and makes a striking entrance, fully aware of the tension simmering between Kevin and Carl. She commands them to cease their conflict, but when Kev stands to deliver his speech, will he end up ruining everything?
At dinner, Todd accidentally spills juice on his shirt; Theo advises him to go rinse it off, and Billy follows him to the restroom, where he notices bruises on Todd’s body.
Meanwhile, just before leaving the country, Lisa gives Sarah an envelope containing Carla’s engagement ring.
Becky tells her ex-wife that it’s best to dispose of their phones for safety, promising to buy them all new ones before they head to the ferry.
