Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle And Melinda Strike A Deal, Kristen’s Charges Cancelled, Rachel’s Served In Therapy?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will strike a deal. Might Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) charges be cancelled, and Rachel Black’s (Alice Halsey) be served in therapy?

Kristen Fought Against Not Going Back To Prison

When Kristen learned Rachel had remembered shooting EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) and was in Bayview, she went ballistic-and on top of it all, she was still captive in the crypt at the time.

But once she got out and was in Salem University Hospital for treatment, she fought against Rachel confessing, and her own return to prison to serve out her time! She was able to be with Rachel for Christmas, with Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) help.

But Rachel didn’t want her to go back to prison, even though she’d prefer not to stay in Bayview. That put Kristen in a bit of a bind, because she so wanted her daughter not to suffer repercussions for what she’d done.

Possibly The Gun Went Off Accidentally?

There ‘s a possibility that the gun went off accidentally, since apparently the safety wasn’t on when Rachel grabbed it. Of all the things for her to learn from her maternal grandmother, shooting a gun shouldn’t have been one!

Belle knew it would be easy to believe that the gun went off accidentally, even though it hit EJ in the chest at comparatively close range.

So, during the time that Kristen is recovering in the hospital from her badly infected hand, Belle decides to propose her plan to Melinda, now again the district attorney.

But she wants Rachel to continue in her therapy, inpatient if need be, so even though a child would not plead insanity, this would be the same idea.

Belle Makes The Proposal To Melinda

Belle makes the proposal to Melinda, so that Kristen will be exonerated and Rachel will serve her “time” by continuing in therapy-and points out that she’s making progress. She gets Brady Black (Eric Marsolf) to write a permission letter to submit with her proposal to Melinda.

Belle’s idea of bypassing Kristen, at least at first, is to prove to her that her plan will work, and that way Kristen will agree to Rachel officially confessing.

Belle is successful in striking the deal with Melinda, and Melinda is willing to put something in writing-it just needs to be signed by all parties.

The question remains, however, if Rachel will confess because even though it frees her mother, it keeps her in Bayview, at least for the time being.
