Hallmark Channel When Calls the Heart spoilers and updates reveal that Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant) recently teased what’s ahead for Hearties in season thirteen. Let’s see what Kevin has to say about what’s going to happen in Hope Valley and beyond.
Season Twelve Ended With A Trip From Hope Valley To Cape Fullerton After Little Jack’s Grave Diagnosis
Hearties will remember that season twelve ended with a trip from Hope Valley to Cape Fullerton after little Jack Thornton’s (Hyland Goodrich) grave diabetes type one diagnosis.
The then potentially deadly disease was just starting to be studied, and possible treatments explored, and treating a child was experimental, at best.
Little Jack had been approved, through many hoops that Elizabeth was required to jump through, to be treated at a clinic there who was studying a new treatment, insulin, in children.
Nathan, Elizabeth, and little Jack who was fainting from his blood sugar issues, took off for the faraway town, with Allie Grant (Jaeda Lily Miller) also along.
Cape Fullerton was where Elizabeth’s former mother in law Charlotte Thornton (Brooke Shields) lived, and also near the diabetes clinic.
Kevin McGarry Talked About What’s Ahead In Season Thirteen To Swooon
As the highly anticipated premiere of When Calls the Heart season 13 approaches this weekend on Hallmark, it’s completely understandable to crave more information about what’s in store.
So, what can we share at this point? First and foremost, it seems fitting to provide some context, courtesy of star Kevin McGarry-what will the situation be for Nathan and Elizabeth as the new season kicks off?
We know that by the conclusion of season 12, they had traveled to Cape Fullerton, where they are hopeful that Charlotte might be able to assist in some capacity with Little Jack’s diabetes treatments.
Nathan, Allie, Elizabeth And Little Jack Have Been Staying In Charlotte’s Boarding House
Discussing the premiere featuring Nathan and Elizabeth in Swooon, McGarry shared more insights: “They have grown closer while living in this boarding house with Charlotte.
Additionally, Nathan has also developed a bond with Charlotte; he’s been present to care for the children, assisting Little Jack with his diabetes clinic and all that entails.
I believe they have naturally, without any formal declaration, entered into a familial dynamic with everyone contributing.”
Considering that Allie Grant (Jaeda Lily Miller) is also part of Nathan’s life, it may indeed resemble a four-person family unit in its own unique way.
We think that since a significant portion of When Calls the Heart revolves around Hope Valley, there’s a possibility that some of these characters will eventually find their way back there.
