The Young And The Restless Preview Week Of Jan 12: Matt’s Chaos, Tessa’s Decision, Phyllis Gloats

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal a preview clip has been released for the week of January 12, 2026. It shows Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) telling Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) about Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) craziness.

Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) makes a painful decision. Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) gloats to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Keep reading to find out what is coming up in the CBS soap opera.

Tessa Porter’s Painful Decision

Let’s start off with Tessa, who can’t keep waiting on Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) anymore. Instead of getting better, Mariah is getting worse.

Now, the redhead has left the clinic. Seemingly abandoned, Tessa will have a chat with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about what’s going on. In the preview clip for next week, Tessa cries as she says she can’t do this anymore. The brunette says it’s too painful.

Jack Abbott’s Report

Over at the Abbott residence, Diane will want an update on Jack’s offer to Victor. The reformed villain will ask her husband if Victor agreed to the deal.

However, the patriarch says, “Not exactly.” When Diane wants clarification, Jack says, “Finding Matt was not the craziest part of the evening.”

If Victor rejected the deal, then Jack said he was going to cut Matt loose. However, I can’t see Jack letting a deranged killer go. Jack didn’t seem alarmed or tense during his update to Diane. So, there must be some kind of twist.

The only thing I can think of is Victor’s homemade prison, the one where he secretly held Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) tried to cover up Victor’s crime with the cell.

The man even tried to dismantle the bricks! However, Victor could have had the cell redone while renovations were going on. Perhaps that is where Matt ends up.

Phyllis Summers Gloats

The Young and the Restless preview for next week also shows Phyllis and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). As Cane silently watches with his arms crossed, Phyllis gloats to Victor.

The woman says, “Newman Enterprises is ours. And there’s not anything you or anyone else can do about it.”

There is no way that Victor is going to let that happen. So, maybe that is the twist that forces Victor to make a deal with Jack?

If Victor cares more about a company than his own family, that might not sit very well with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so stay tuned!
