According to a new report, Kate Middleton refused to meet with Meghan Markle for months right after it was announced that the actress was dating Prince Harry.

That’s because the Princess of Wales felt so protective of Prince Harry that she apparently had a reason not to trust Meghan, even though she didn’t even get to meet her yet.

As many royalists can recall, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton always had a very close relationship and even treated each other like close siblings. The Duke of Sussex even once famously said that Kate was like the sister that he never had.

So once Meghan Markle entered the picture, Kate apparently had a reason to be wary of her intentions, even if she didn’t know what they were at the time. That, of course, wasn’t very fair to Meghan, but Kate had her reasons behind her behavior.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “‘She’s always been a substitute big sister to Harry, watching out for him and making certain no one takes advantage. I think she was a little frightened by what she was reading.”

If that weren’t enough, Kate Middleton’s husband Prince William was also concerned about Prince Harry supposedly moving too fast with this new Hollywood actress that no one knew anything about.

The insider added, “William worried aloud that things were moving too fast. Meghan had secured a degree of control over his brother that no other woman ever had.”

“Harry was on the defensive whenever the subject of Meghan came up, leaving friends and family alike on tenterhooks.”

Clearly, there were problems before Meghan Markle even entered the room, so it’s no wonder that no one got along with her after they had met her.
