The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jack’s Doomed Decision To Put Jabot Back Online – Cane & Phyllis’ Next Target?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may make the doomed decision to put Jabot back online. Will Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) make it their next target?

In Y&R’s January 16 episode, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) gave Jack a nudge to put Jabot back online. Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) also seemed eager to take that step, but Jack was more cautious about waiting until it was safe.

However, it may not be long until Jack decides to side with Kyle and Diane on this. The longer the Abbotts leave Jabot in offline limbo, the more damage they’ll do and the harder it’ll be to build the company back up,

Since he’s busy worrying about his own family business, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has been forced to abandon his vengeful mission when it comes to Jabot.

Thanks to Jack and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) deal, Jack may also trust that Nick will keep his promise about there being no more Jabot attacks or threats.

Of course, there’s always the potential for Victor to go after Jack down the road once he regains the upper hand, but that’s a problem for another day!

In the meantime, Cane and Phyllis may become Jack’s biggest issue. What if Jack assumes the threat is over and puts Jabot back online – only to have it promptly attacked by Phyllis and Cane?

If Cane and Phyllis fully pull off this Newman takeover, then they’ll be in charge of the AI software again and can use it to infiltrate Jabot.

We can’t forget that when Cane first resurfaced, he basically wanted total Genoa City domination. Cane planned to go after all the major companies in town and may revisit that plan now that he’s having a taste of success with this Newman plot.

That means Jabot could still be at risk, especially considering what we know from 2026 preview spoilers. Jack and Victor will have a reason to join forces against Cane in the coming months, so something has to shift Jack’s perspective.

At this point, Jack is basically gloating and savoring the idea of Victor getting his comeuppance, even if he feels a little bad for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and everyone else who’s collateral damage.

Jack could change his tune if Cane and Phyllis target Jabot next, so he might team up with Victor to restore peace to GC.
