General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms Return Date Confirmed, Comatose Maxie’s Wake-Up Call Is On The Way

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) is back at the studio, so comatose Maxie’s wake-up call is on the way.

Now that Storms has offered confirmation about her return to work, fans can start getting excited about what’s next for Maxie. GH confirmed that Maxie will return to our General Hospital screens Thursday, February 12, 2025.

Since 2026 GH preview spoilers pointed to Maxie’s coma awakening, viewers have already been buzzing about her big comeback. However, it’s nice to hear from Storms herself and know she’s working again based on her recent Instagram post.

Storms offered up a pic of herself in a mirror along with some notecards that featured inspirational messages.

Although Kirsten Storms took an extended break from the show and moved to Tennessee with her daughter, Harper, she’s reprising the role of Maxie and will help deliver some great drama.

“Boom. 2026 already…that was fast. Back at work! Seriously missing my BugBug though. California doesn’t feel right without her here,” Storms said.

Maxie has been stuck in this comatose state thanks to Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) twisted plot, but that’s about to change. Now that Kirsten Storms has resumed filming, it won’t be long until Maxie awakens with plenty of questions.

While Maxie’s been out of the picture, the world has moved on without her. Maxie has missed a ton, including the wild return of the husband she thought she’d lost forever.

When Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) seemingly faced a grim fate back in 2018, Maxie was absolutely devastated. Maxie saw Nathan’s deceased body along with everyone else and attended his funeral as well as his burial.

That’s why Maxie may find herself in a state of denial early on. Once Maxie wakes up and learns the story of how Nathan resurfaced in Port Charles, she’s sure to be thrown for a loop.

Since Nathan claims he has no memory of what happened while he was gone, Maxie won’t get all the answers she’s looking for – at least not yet.

Nevertheless, DNA testing proved this Nathan was a match for the previous one. Fingerprints also backed up Nathan’s claims, so we’ll see if Maxie ultimately comes to accept her hubby has come home.

Maxie will definitely have a lot to process and may wind up torn between Nathan and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) depending on how all this plays out. Spinelli would love to spend the rest of his days with Maxie, but he may have to step aside for Nathan.

Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will come out of her coma and get the ultimate shocker.
