Mariah Copeland’s Madness

Let’s start off by discussing Mariah’s madness. The woman was getting mental health treatment after her ordeal with Ian.

Ironically, the woman keeps being visited by the same man who tormented her. Unable to get rid of the hallucination, Mariah eventually left treatment.

Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) can’t do it anymore and has decided to file for divorce. However, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) must be worried about where her daughter is and what she’s doing.

Ian Ward’s Relentless Nagging

Meanwhile, Mariah has kidnapped Dominic. Even though the redhead clearly knows she’s doing a terrible thing, Ian keeps telling her to push forward.

In a cruel and Jordan-esque (Colleen Zenk) twist, Ian suggested that Mariah tell Dominic that his parents didn’t want him anymore. That’s exactly what Jordan did to Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin)!

Abby Winters’ Hint

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ian has convinced Mariah to keep Dominic. That they can both have the love and family that they so desperately crave. For now, the redhead seems to be following Ian’s orders.

However, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) ended up sharing a hint in the episode that aired on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Chance Chancellor’s Angelic Return?

After Devon Winters (Bryton James) talked to the police, Abby said she was praying to Chance Chancellor (last played by Conner Floyd). The woman mentioned that Chance is the little boy’s guardian angel.

Even though Chance has passed away, it would be a great scene if his “angel” somehow helped save Dominic. Even though Mariah would never intentionally harm the child she carried, Ian can’t be trusted.

The man has already convinced Mariah to do a lot of things she wouldn’t normally do. Just how much further is this going to go?

Chance never got a funeral on-screen. Fans were quite disappointed as he was a great character with too little screen time. Could Abby have just shared a hint about how this story will end? Could Angel Chance show up to save Dominic?

Wouldn’t it be something if Devon and Abby asked Dominic how he got away, and he said his father was there? Since we didn’t get an on-screen funeral, it would be a nice way to say a final goodbye.
