Cecilia Specht Joins Beyond The Gates In New Role Linked To Dupree Family Scandal Storyline

Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest a new storyline is about to hit the land of Fairmont Crest that is sure to stir up the drama! In addition, a new character is slated to debut during February Sweeps month, too, and CTS has all the details.

New Character, New Castmate, New Scandal

Beyond the Gates spoilers confirm that actress Cecilia Specht will join the new CBS soap as Dr. Lia Whitmore.

The doctor is smart, seasoned, and also happens to be the Garland Memorial’s Chief of Staff. Dr. Whitmore is scheduled to debut on Friday, February 13, and is slated for a 20-episode storyline that will have BTG fans seeing her on the series until the end of May.

With that said, Whitmore will get some news that flips her world upside down, just as she steps into the operating room. As such, she’ll quickly question everything, and her confidence will be shaken to its core.

In fact, whatever she learns before the operating room will have her questioning everything in her life. Yikes! Added teasers note that Whitmore’s arc will create a web of lies that the Dupree family, as well as other characters, are drawn into.

Specht is an actress, as well as a producer and writer, who grew up in Santa Cruz, California, and was interested in a career in politics before she took an acting class and changed direction.

Her first TV job was on the Australian series, Neighbours, a stint she landed after she moved there.

Specht also co-founded Boxing Day Productions while ‘down under’, a theatre company where she acted in, produced, and directed close to a dozen productions.

Her other list of credits includes the Disney Channel’s Stepsister from Planet Weird, as well as appearances in Star Trek: Enterprise, Criminal Minds, Las Vegas, Zoey 101, Dexter, Life, Parks and Recreation, Castle, Revenge, Being Mary Jane, and Scandal.

In addition, Specht is no stranger to the land of soaps, with roles on Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
