Days Of Our Lives Alison Sweeney Shares Why Her Newest Hallmark Movie Is So Special To Her

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest it’s been some months since fans saw Sami Brady in the land of Salem. She’s currently living in Italy, engaged to the newest love of her life.

The character portrayer, Alison Sweeney, who’s also well known for the work she does on Hallmark, recently talked to People about her latest movie for the network and why it’s so special to her.

Romance at Hope Ranch … Coming Soon

Sweeney’s latest Hallmark flick, called Romance at Hope Ranch, will debut on Saturday, February 28, at 8:00 p.m. ET on the channel.

The actress plays Hope Morgan, and alongside her in the film is her real-life daughter, Megan, who will play Hope’s daughter in the movie

The film centers on Hope, as she aims to fulfill a childhood dream of leading a ranch, which triggers her to buy one in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

She moves her family in ‘hopes’ of reviving the Giddy Up Gala. Gabriel Hogan, from Heartland, is also in the movie and plays Jack Bennett. In addition, Sweeney isn’t only acting in the film, she’s also the executive producer.

Making Mom Proud

Sweeney notes that the first scene she shared with Megan was ‘sincere’ and ‘sweet’. Hope drops her daughter off at college, but Alison “felt” that scene, as she’ll be doing the same soon.

Megan turned 17 in January, and Sweeney noted to People that the college scene in the Hallmark movie made her more emotional than she anticipated.

Meanwhile, there’s no indication that Sami will be re-entering the land of Salem anytime soon. Although that doesn’t mean fans can write a return off. Sweeney (and Sami) are infamous for the surprise drop-ins, so only time will tell.

When Sami came back to the little town this past November 2025, she did advise loved ones that she was engaged to Dante Vitali, so will she and her fiancé visit at some point (before or after their wedding)? Only time will tell.
