General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen Addresses Whether Willow Can Be Redeemed, Spills ‘Journey’ Ahead

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Cain) recently addressed whether Willow can be redeemed. MacMullen spilled on the “journey” ahead in a new interview with SOD, so let’s consider what’s coming up for Willow.

Willow was once considered a soap heroine, but she’s definitely landed in villainous territory by now. GH viewers have watched Willow spiral into a completely different version of herself, so that’s brought a mixed audience reaction.

On social media, some fans have complained about Willow’s wild turn and all the terrible things she’s done. Other fans feel like Willow finally has some spice and has delivered some must-see moments of entertainment.

No matter how you feel about Willow spiraling out of control, she’s headed for a downfall.

Willow managed to avoid punishment for shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and has gotten away with causing his stroke so far, too. It seems like Willow thinks her luck is finally turning around, but she’s in for a rude awakening sooner or later.

Instead of just accepting the 60-40 custody split that Michael compromised on, Willow is setting him up for Drew’s shooting through that key on his keychain.

Of course, some viewers still haven’t forgiven Willow for her past transgressions – like all the baby stalker drama she forced Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) to endure or the fact that she cheated on Michael in the first place.

Drew was far worse than Willow before she took him out of commission, but that doesn’t mean Willow’s own behavior can be excused. Once Willow’s comeuppance arrives, she’ll have to pay the price one way or another.

That brings us to Katelyn MacMullen’s comments about whether Willow can bounce back after sinking so low.

Can Willow be redeemed and make some positive updates to her life? Could good news come out of all this if Willow learns her lesson and finds her footing again?

“What she’s gone through, I’m sure it’s going to change her,” MacMullen said. “But it will be interesting to see what the writers think, and we’ll see, right? We’ll see if she’s able to take what she’s learned and maybe make positive changes … or not! It will just be interesting to see where this journey takes her.”

Katelyn MacMullen also talked about the other “crazy stuff” that’s happened in Port Charles over the years. It seems like MacMullen really embraces the fun of the genre and knows plenty of other people have found redemption following the messes they’ve caused.
