On Thursday night, during his Daily News Headlines vlog, Neil Sean, a royal commentator, discussed more about the royal drama. Allegedly, it all started when Prince William married Kate Middleton back in 2011.

Well, apparently, William never got over it because he believed that allegedly, the princesses tried stealing the spotlight from his bride on their big day.

Sean explained that in 2026, the rift goes back for over a decade, and that’s a long time to feel irritated. According to the royal expert, the reason for the drama lay in the fact that their mom, Sarah Ferguson, didn’t get the nod to the festivities. Remember, back then, as she is now, Fergie was pretty much an outcast in the royal family.

The Silly Wedding Hats

Regarding the storm in a teacup, Sean reminded folks that Beatrice and Eugenie wore Philip Treacy hats to the wedding. Perhaps, you recall them? Anyway, the media made much of it because they looked so juvenile and outlandish. .

After the wedding, plenty of royal family watchers heard more about them. Reminiscing, Sean claimed that princesses seemed extremely emotional and tearful, especially when they spoke with Vogue. That’s because so many folks mocked them. 

No Apology

Back then, even Sarah Ferguson weighed in on the ridiculous hat story. Apparently, she also felt everyone was being unfair to her daughters. It went on in the media for a long time, considering it seemed so trivial compared with the prince and his bride celebrating a big day.

Allegedly, it really upset Princess Catherine as the cousins, Eugenie and Beatrice never apologised to her for stealing the day. Allegedly, Prince William noted that point and he felt riled because it shifted attention away from his brand new wife. “According to a source, William never forgot it,” Sean said.

A Different Attitude At Harry’s Wedding

Next, he compared the wedding of William and Kate to that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And, he reminded his followers that Beatrice and Eugenie were invited. However, this time, their hats seemed demure and subdued.
