Is Kelly Thiebaud Leaving General Hospital, Again?

General Hospital comings and goings confirmed that Steve Burton is exiting the soap soon.  However, rumors hint Jason Morgan isn’t the only character that will be ushered off the canvas.

Steve Burton Leaving General Hospital

Last week news broke that Steve Burton was going on hiatus and his character would be leaving the soap opera for several months. 

The Jason Morgan portrayer clarified that this wasn’t goodbye, it was see you later and he planned to come back in the summer. 

Then it dawned on fans, if Jason Morgan was leaving Port Charles then he is probably going to take Britt Westbourne with him.  

Kelly Thiebaud debuted on General Hospital back in 2012 as Britt Westbourne.  As the daughter of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), she has been involved in several huge storylines over the years.  In 2023 Thiebaud’s character was killed off and she left the soap for two years. 

It was revealed in 2025 that Britt Westbourne had survived and was being held captive in Croatia.  As soon as she returned to Port Charles, Britt and Jason Morgan reconnected.

Over the years Britt’s battle with Huntington’s Disease has been well documented on General Hospital, it also is her Achilles Heel. 

Britt is working at the hospital, but still technically being held hostage because she needs her Huntington meds to survive.  

Jason and Britt have been sneaking around together for months, and plotting on freeing her from the WSB’s clutches and finding her a new source for her meds. 

If Jason Morgan is leaving town, then it could be because he’s trying to get Britt help and save her.  More than likely he would take the patient with him, and that means Kelly Thiebaud will exit with him.
