Hallmark Channel The Way Home spoilers and updates reveal what to anticipate in the final season of the fan favorite show. We can reveal the full present-day cast will return for season four, and the premiere date.
Season Four Premieres Sunday, April 19
The final season of The Way Home is set to debut on Sunday, April 19, on the Hallmark Channel, featuring the entire present-day Landry family.
This includes Andie MacDowell (Del Landry), Chyler Leigh (Kat Landry), Evan Williams (Elliot Augustine), Sadie Laflamme-Snow (Alice Dhawan), and Spencer MacPherson (Jacob Landry).
Additionally, the friends they made after their leap into the pond and arrival in the 1970s will return as well.
Julia Tomasone (younger Del), Jordan Doww (younger Colton Landry), and Devin Cecchetto (Evelyn Goodwin) will reprise their roles.
New cast members include Bianca Melchior as young Fern Landry, Gabriel Hogan as Grayson Goodwin, and Dan Jeannotte as Cliff Kane, the new Temperance Inspector in Port Haven.
What To Expect
Expect plenty of tears, among other things; the official logline for the season states: “New journeys and revelations await the Landry family across generations. As season 4 begins, Alice is on the verge of graduating high school, while Kat and Elliot contemplate their relationship’s future.
Del, on the other hand, is coming to terms with becoming an empty-nester once more. However, Del, Kat, Alice, and Elliot should be aware that despite their efforts to concentrate on what lies ahead, the past is always present.
As more secrets come to light, the history of Port Haven and the Landry family from generations past may hold the keys to the answers they are searching for.
A Jump Into The Roaring Twenties!
Season 4 of The Way Home centers on fresh starts and unpredictable futures,” say executive producers Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke in an interview with PEOPLE. “
As Alice approaches her high school graduation, our three determined Landry women are poised to embark on new independent journeys-whether they feel prepared or not.
However, unresolved issues from the past continue to linger;” the EPs further hint that Alice will uncover “a startling new revelation,” prompting the family to “finally heed the call of the pond.
Their ventures into the past will lead them to reconnect with familiar faces. But it will also thrust them into an exhilarating new chapter in Port Haven’s vibrant history: the Roaring Twenties!”
The Roaring Twenties Will Be Depicted As Very Art Deco And Glamorous
Regarding the depiction of the 1920s, the ladies share, “It’s a realm of lavish deco glamour and ominous shadows, where flappers and bootleggers abound. And a unique member of the Landry lineage is poised to launch our characters into thrilling new escapades as they seek answers to lingering mysteries.”
The mother-daughter team also assures that this concluding season is “packed with suspense, humor, emotion, and heartbreak; while some questions may find resolution-it will come at unforeseen and transformative costs.
This season will ultimately remind us that there is no greater love, no greater gift, and no greater strength than that of family.
The Fourth Season Is The Finale Of The Series
In November, PEOPLE announced that the fourth season of The Way Home, which has done well on Netflix, will be its last.
Samantha DiPippo, SVP of programming at Hallmark Media, told PEOPLE, “Fans have eagerly watched every episode since season 1, trying to solve the puzzle created by Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke, and Marly Reed.”
She added, “We appreciate our talented cast, including Andie, Chyler, Evan, and Sadie, along with our dedicated writers and crew who worked hard on this show.”
DiPippo also assured that “the Landry family’s story will end satisfyingly, and viewers will finally get the answers they’ve been waiting for.”
Season Three Ended With Del Jumping In The Pond For the First Time
Season 3 ended with Del time-traveling for the first time and seeing her wedding to Colton in the 1970s, and Kat and Elliot planning their future.
Also, K.C. Goodwin (Vaughan Murrae) revealing that Susanna Augustine (Watson Rose) left Lingermore to the Landrys, Jacob disappearing again, and Alice having a deep conversation with adult Colton.
The final scene was a cliffhanger: a mysterious couple jumped into the pond in the 1970s, and Sam mirrored Elliot from the pilot in the present.
The Way Home season 4 starts on Sunday, April 19, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and will be available the next day on Hallmark+. Seasons 1-3 can be binge-watched on Hallmark+ and Netflix.
