General Hospital spoilers tease that our favorite city is bidding farewell to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) this Friday, but little detail has been released about what that might look like.
The residents of Port Charles already paid their respects to Luke years back during a memorial on the Haunted Star.
So we shouldn’t expect anything of the sort this time around. Rather, it sounds like cast members will pay tribute to the man they felt so honored to work with for so many years.
That man was Anthony Geary, who passed away on December 14, 2025. As the current cast members say their farewells, we have to wonder who else might stop by as a blast from the past with kind words to offer.
They’ve Already Said Goodbye
Luke’s memorial service was nothing if not spectacular. It was just what he would’ve wanted — an afternoon on the Haunted Star with everyone he loved or didn’t welcome to swing by as their leisure.
Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) surprise video was cut short when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) just couldn’t stand it anymore, even though Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) interest was piqued — though not nearly as much as Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) when he witnessed Tracy trying to give the Ice Princess diamond to Laura as a gift.
Suffice it to say, a lot was said and went down that day that was scandalous, snarky, and in true Luke fashion. What more can possibly be said?
This Isn’t Luke’s Memorial
Given that we already had the most proper send-off we could for Luke, it’s only fair that we offer up the same for Tony Geary.
It’s a given that Genie Francis will have plenty to say, as well as Jane Elliot, but I hope we hear from some unexpected voices too — like Kin Shriner (portrayer of Scott Baldwin), who has been off-screen since August of 2024 but played a foe opposite Tony for decades.
The role of Lulu Spencer is currently being championed by Alexa Havins Bruening, but it would be cool to hear from Julie Berman and Emme Rylan, as they both worked closely with Tony in years past.
We’re hopeful that Emma Samms (portrayer of Holly Sutton) might make it into the clips, despite ongoing health concerns.
Moreover, a surprise tribute by James Ryan or Nathan Parsons (both portrayers of Ethan Lovett) could bring things full circle.
This One’s Gonna Hurt
The truth is, Luke’s death left a void, and now Tony Geary’s death has solidified that. Gone with him are many others who we’ll miss seeing tributes from. Jaclyn Zeman (portrayer of Bobbie Spencer) worked closely with Tony over the years, playing the role of his baby sister.
Zeman passed away in 2023. Tristan Rogers (portrayer of Robert Scorpio) passed away in 2025, leaving a hole in the canvas where he would have had plenty to say about working with a legend like Tony.
Yes, many voices will be missed from Friday’s tribute, but we’re hoping for plentiful flashbacks to some of Luke’s and Tony’s best moments to stem the pain. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
