On tonight’s When Calls The Heart episode, Rosemary needed a new challenge. Her playhouse burned down. She needed something to throw her energy into and that turned out to be the pictures.

No, she didn’t want to act in them. She had the chance. She turned it down. She wanted to produce a film. She told Lee all about it and he loved that look in her eye.

He was glad to see it again after the fire. He offered to help. It wasn’t long before they were hiring people. They hired Opal as the budget producer. She was great at mathematics. They also hired on Elizabeth as their screen writer.

There was an issue with that last hire because Elizabeth couldn’t write on demand. She’s written plenty on a day to day basis. She’s written books and makes a great English teacher.

It was the on the demand part that she faltered. The more she pushed herself was also the less she felt inspired. She wrote up a few ideas.

They were either boring or too expensive. Elizabeth eventually wrote a story that essentially about her. She wrote about a schoolteacher in trouble who had to be saved by a handsome Mountie.

Rosemary wanted Elizabeth to play Millie the schoolteacher. The Mountie of course had to be played by Nathan. He’s the only one that would fit into his uniform.

Which would save money. Opal could be very intimidating about the budget and Elizabeth never noticed as her teacher because Opal was usually quiet in a herd. She wasn’t quiet anymore.

She was finding the right dog to play the part of the talking dog that Rosemary added to the story. Rosemary also added a kiss and so that sealed the deal that Nathan had to play Apollo the Mountie.

Elizabeth wasn’t willing to kiss anyone else.

Rosemary added several changes to the script. She wanted it to be from the heart as well as profitable. They were going to use everything they could in Hope Valley to putting on a great film.

Nathan saw the power of that himself because he agreed to do it. He was supposed to be focusing on finding Christopher.

Christopher was currently being hunted by his former employer and the authorities needed his help to build a case against the guy. Christopher went on the run because he thought that would be safer. And maybe it was for him.

It wasn’t so much for those he left behind. It wasn’t outright threats. It was the worry. They were calling in on Nathan everyday for news. They wanted Christopher found before he was harmed or the men threatening him decided to amplify the danger. F

ortunately, the Mounties still had Georgie McGill. She proved to be quite helpful. She found out that the map provided by Pioneer Electric was created by Clement Skoggins. He didn’t put his signature to the fake map, but she recognized his flair for design because she’s also been pouring over several maps lately.

Clement works for National Insurance. The same people that were slow walking the payouts on several insurance policies. If the fire was deemed arson, they don’t have to pay the full insurance. They wanted Toby and Cooper to take the fall.

They now had every reason to want to keep Christopher quiet because him testifying that it was a company issue could result in them having to pay the full amount to everyone affected by the fire. That was the entirety of Benson Hills. With Georgie’s help, they realized their simply case was a conspiracy to defraud thousands of people.

The Mounties used Georgie a second time to lure in Clement before they arrested him. He got his one phone call and he called the man behind the conspiracy. He never confirmed him by name. Only now those people knew Clement was in custody and that he could talk at any moment.

They would either break him or find a way to silence him for good. Bill and Georgie would know because they overheard the entire conversation as they listened in. Nathan was off filming the movie. Fernando was meanwhile saying the Governor was a lucky man to Edie.

Edie got an amazing offer in Union City that she was willing to turn down to be with Lucas. She told Fernando as much. He was disappointed. He had a bit of a crush on her, but wanted her to be happy. Edie gave him a kiss on the cheek as a goodbye and sadly Lucas saw it.

He thought it was so much more than it was. He thought it meant she chose to be with Fernando over him. He didn’t realize differently until Edie made things clear. Edie told Lucas that she wasn’t with Fernando. He’s been here before with people who didn’t know their hearts and so Lucas needed time.

He asked for time away from Edie and it wasn’t fair. Fernando was no longer an issue. Fernando replaced Nathan as the Mountie. Faith replaced Elizabeth as the schoolteacher in the movie.

Their kiss was full of chemistry. It was all passion. Fernando might’ve already moved on if Lucas hadn’t let his insecurities about Elizabeth come roaring back. He hesitated with Edie. It cost him more than he knew because Eddie then left town.

Molly passed her nurses correspondence course so she’s officially a nurse.

And Elizabeth was there for Nathan when they got nowhere with the case. It goes to show that they are perfect for each other. Even if they broke others’ hearts on their road to each other.

THE END!
