General Hospital Spoilers: Kelly Thiebaud Heading On A Hiatus – Here’s What We Know?

General Hospital spoilers confirm that Jason Morgan is heading off canvas at the end of March, returning sometime in July.

Steve Burton has confirmed his exit from the ABC soap multiple times, while also assuring fans that he will return in the summer.

Could this mean that Kelly Thiebaud’s Britt Westbourne character is taking a break, too? Here’s what we know, so far.

No Confirmation

While nothing has been confirmed by either Thiebaud or General Hospital, there are some hints that Britt might be exiting the canvas, along with Jason. Recently, Jason has spoken with some key people in his son, Danny Morgan’s (Asher Antonyzyn) life.

From Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson); Jason is ironing out some details to make sure that there will be people to watch over Danny, should something happen to him.

In addition, fans know that Jason is working on a plan to get Britt and himself out of Port Charles.

The pressure that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is placing on her to complete Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project, plus the fact that the research is nearing the end, could mean that her life would be expendable, once the work is done.

Could Jason’s exit storyline simply be him heading out of town with Britt and laying low until the dust settles?

The Kelly Thiebaud Factor

Thieabaud was not shy about letting her feelings be known where Burton’s hiatus was concerned. In fact, she told Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) during his State of Mind podcast that she was shocked when she found out Burton was leaving and confronted the actor about it.

While she understood his need for a break, she did admit that she felt “let down” by Burton’s brief exit. As Thiebaud put it, “I thought we had time together, and it’s just been really hard.”

Three months is not a massive amount of time, so is Kelly that upset about Burton’s exit, or is she possibly disappointed that her character might need to go off-screen too, in order to accommodate Jason’s departure?

Then again, is Kelly hinting that due to Burton’s exit, this could mean an official split of Britt’s romance with Jason? Only time will tell!
