‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers Weekly Update March 16-20: The Walls Close In On Megan, Mal Wakes Up, Theo Drugs Todd!

Coronation Street spoilers and updates for the week of March 16 tease the walls close in on Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon)  and Mal Roper (Tim Treloar) wakes up. Plus, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) drugs Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce)  after they break up!

The Walls Close In On Megan

The end is near for child groomer Megan next week as Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) seemingly discloses everything.

A new trailer released last weekend showcased the reaction of her victim, Will Driscoll’s (Lucas Hodgson Wale) family, to Sam’s assertions that they have been trying to establish a relationship.

Concern escalates for Sam when Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) confides in Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) that he appears to be off.

He has hardly eaten and is visibly trembling as Eva approaches to check on him, Megan unexpectedly shows up, and Sam’s response is instant. He is frightened and pushes past them to rush outside.

Eva Hurries After Sam, And He Collapses

Eva hurries in his direction, but as she calls out his name, he suddenly collapses onto the cobblestones, unconscious.

In spite of everything, Megan swiftly takes out her phone to call for an ambulance; at the hospital, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) gently attempts to uncover what’s truly happening with Sam.

Indicating that the pressure of exams can’t be the sole reason he resorted to drugs, she encourages him to be honest.

Sam is about to disclose everything- just as Eva steps into the doorway, and as the week progresses, the pressure on Megan escalates, prompting Sam’s family to unite in support of him.

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) faces Megan and insists on understanding the status of their relationship-has her mistreatment of Will been revealed?

Mal Wakes Up, And Kit Is Worried

Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) feels anxious upon discovering that Mal has regained consciousness. At the police station, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) interrogates Kit regarding the vicious assault on Mal, yet he stays silent and refuses to divulge any information.

Later, when Lisa discloses that a witness has stepped forward, Kit skillfully conceals his rising anxiety.

Determined to reach the witness first, he confronts him outside the station- but the man immediately identifies him as the assailant who attacked Mal.

This could spell the end of his career in law enforcement-without delay, Kit rushes to the hospital to interrogate him about the incident.

Alya Worries Her Conversations With Rich Could Be Exposed

Elsewhere,  Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) is anxious that her discussions with her former boss Rich Pemberton (Jamie Cho) might come to light.

At the law office, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) eagerly announces that one of Fabian’s top clients- Jenna Mackie (uncredited) is prepared to sign with them.

Alya forces a grin, clearly concealing her genuine emotions. Later on, a self-assured Adam informs Alya that he’s scheduled to meet Jenna and aims to demonstrate that she’s made the right choice; despite her reservations, she remains silent.

Adam And Alya Meet With Rich, But It All Goes South

Subsequently, Adam and Alya meet with Rich from Fabian’s and successfully negotiate a deal; however, the cheerful atmosphere is short-lived.

After glancing at his phone, Adam’s expression changes dramatically as he discloses that someone has infiltrated the firm’s internal emails.

While they attempt to comprehend the situation, an irate Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) bursts in, enraged about a leaked message regarding Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney).

Rich is equally blunt. He cautions Alya that Adam’s reputation is already precariously close to disaster.

Things Get Worse For George Shuttleworth

At the funeral home, George Shuttleworth ( Tony Maudsley) is under significant strain as the ongoing smear campaign aimed at his business escalates.

Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) straightforwardly informs both George and Todd that they must gather their strength and begin to push back before the situation deteriorates further.

However, with Todd’s personal issues undoubtedly weighing on him and George already feeling the immense pressure, will they really take her words to heart? Or will the added stress only compound the troubles for all involved?

Theo Drugs Todd After Their Breakup

In the meantime, after Todd and Theo have gone their separate ways, the abuser makes yet another cruel move.

While they are at the Viaduct Bistro, drugs are stealthily slipped into Todd’s drink… What could his game plan possibly be?

Todd is left feeling utterly miserable as Theo arrives to pick up the last of his belongings, making their separation feel painfully definitive.

In an effort to lift his spirits, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) takes him out for lunch, but the outing takes a turn for the worse when he spots Theo sitting nearby with a striking stranger.

Later on, Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) encourages Todd to forget about Theo and to start dating again.

Theo And Todd Argue

Inspired by her words, he tells Theo that perhaps he was right-maybe it’s time for both of them to move on; however, Theo appears to be intent on stirring the pot and openly flirts with someone else.

When Todd mentions that Glenda has set up a date for him, Theo’s reaction clearly indicates that he is far from pleased.

Todd then heads off to meet his blind date, while Theo joins in on Gary Windass (Mikey North)’s birthday celebrations, laughing heartily and pretending to be unfazed by his ex-partner’s new romantic endeavors.

Then, Theo drops another bombshell, revealing to Todd that he is contemplating taking a job in Belfast so they can make a clean break. Todd is left devastated, while Theo secretly revels in his own satisfaction.
