Prince Harry’s Mother-in-Law, Doria Ragland Moves In (He’s So Hen Pecked!)

Apparently, Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland has moved in with her and her husband, Prince Harry. For Meghan, this might seem like a good thing. Doria will obviously love being around her grandson, little baby Archie! However, fans of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry know that this living situation could spell trouble eventually.
Of course, many grandparents help out their kids and act as babysitters from time to time as Doria plans to do in this case. However, most grandparents don’t actually move into the same house as their grown children in order to do so … as Doria Ragland is reported to have done. On the upside, it’s reported that Doria’s “living quarters” won’t actually be in the main house with Meghan and Prince Harry. Her rooms, etc. will be in a small annex to the main mansion. Thus, Meghan and Harry will be able to maintain at least a modicum of privacy. At least, one imagines that’s what Prince Harry hopes.
One might agree that Prince Harry may indeed have a few things to worry about when it comes to moving Doria Ragland right into the small family’s living space. That’s because while Doria might be Meghan’s “rock” in life (shouldn’t that actually be Prince Harry?), too much familiarity can breed contempt.
Imagine what might happen if Doria comes into the mansion and sees Harry reclining on the sofa with Meghan while watching Netflix, a bowl of popcorn in one hand … all looks well. But then, Doria notices that there are dishes filling the kitchen sink. Doria notices that Archie’s toys are scattered all over the living room floor. Doria notices socks that someone forgot to dump into the clothes basket.
“Harry! Aren’t you helping Meghan to keep your house clean? Just because you came from a royal family doesn’t mean you get to be off the hook for cleaning duties! Meghan needs your help! Meghan can’t do all this by herself. Are you ever going to cook for your family, Harry? What? Harry, you never learned HOW to cook? You’ve got money coming in, don’t you? Harry, why haven’t you hired a housekeeper for all this yet? Why haven’t you hired a live-in chef, Harry? Harry, are you going to spoil your child by allowing him to play and not pick up afterward? Well, I don’t care that he’s only two … HARRY!”
One can imagine Prince Harry’s face as the henpecking begins. Of course, Doria may be nothing like that. One can certainly hope that Doria Ragland’s not. Yet, what if Doria is? Will fans of Meghan and Harry feel sorry for the prince in such a situation?

Then there will be the inevitable moments when Doria Ragland will expect both Prince Harry and Meghan to listen to her lecture them. Meghan and Prince Harry might be adults, but they’re still just wee babes in diapers in comparison to Doria and the life experience that comes with her. Will Harry and Meghan be able to live with the situation? Or as some royal fans think, will conflict arise because of it?
One has to wonder if Meghan’s thought all this through before making the decision to bring her mother into her family life as a nanny. One wonders if she asked Prince Harry if he was okay with this … or if she just told him this is what’s happening.
Regardless, many fans of Meghan and Harry are no doubt watching and popping their own popcorn as what may become the “In-Law Drama” unfolds.
