General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny & Sidwell’s Funeral Faceoff, Marco’s Father Delivers Grim Warning

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) are gearing up for another heated confrontation.

Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) funeral will set the stage for some erupting tension between these two fierce rivals.

GH fans know Sidwell is blackmailing Sonny along with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so he’s got the upper hand for now. However, Sonny will soon make a pitch to Laura that could involve a way to break free from Sidwell’s grasp.

In the meantime, Sonny will arrive at Marco’s funeral, so all eyes will be on him soon enough. Will Sonny decide to risk Sidwell’s wrath by showing up unannounced and pushing for some peace with Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) help?

We could certainly imagine Sonny crashing the funeral and trying to make a case for his innocence. Sonny might argue that’s a line he wouldn’t have crossed with Marco and show Sidwell that he’s trying to be respectful of his loss.

Since Sonny will no doubt worry about his own children, he’ll be motivated to clear his own name. Sidwell is a vengeful man with plenty of power, so Sonny should definitely be concerned about him striking back through his kids.

However, there’s also a chance this won’t be a funeral-crasher situation. Sidwell might prove he’s calling the shots by ordering Sonny to put on his best suit and come see the damage he’s done.

Perhaps Sidwell will deliver another round of demands and call for Sonny to be at the funeral for a showdown. Sonny may have no choice but to attend and face whatever grim warning Sidwell will inevitably offer.

Sidwell is more dangerous than ever now that he’s fuming over Marco’s grisly outcome. Marco went out of this world in an extremely traumatic way, so Sidwell won’t rest until his killer pays for wiping him off the map.

The problem is Sidwell’s got the wrong guy! Sidwell has been throwing all his suspicion at Sonny when Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is the real culprit here.

Cullum may manage to avoid Sidwell’s fury for a while, but you can bet Sidwell will go after him once the truth comes to light. Until then, Sidwell will continue to target Sonny and stir up more conflict, including when he presumably turns this funeral into an angry fiasco.

How far will Sidwell go to get revenge for Marco? Can Sonny convince Sidwell that he’s not responsible before it’s too late?
