Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Sofia Mattsson New Shocking Role Revealed, Abby Recast?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Sofia Mattsson has joined the cast and will begin appearing early next year.

The show has been getting fans all excited about Sophia’s move to DOOL but have yet to reveal what role she is playing.

Could Mattsson have been secretly cast as Abigail Dimera (last played by Marci Miller), Chad Dimera’s (Connor Floyd) long lost love?

Clyde Weston Claims Abigail Dimera May Be Alive

Days of Our Lives writers have left the door open for Abby’s return thanks to Clyde Weston (James Read) who claimed Abby was alive before he was shot by Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynne McCord) mother and put into a coma.

Chad had hoped to learn Abby’s location but he was robbed of that opportunity thanks to Clyde’s condition.

Mattsson would be stepping into a very popular role if she were to be Chad’s long dead wife. After all, Abby is a legacy character and will likely come back at some point.

Mattsson is about the right age to play Abby and with the children being SORAS’d, it would be very likely that they mother may come back now that they are older.

Chad Dimera Returns This Month

Chad will soon return to Salem after he trip to visit his friends in Arizona. Chad may also come back to clue that lead him to find Abby.

Mattsson won’t appear until next year so there is a lot of time for Chad to discover what happened to Abby and for him to go find her. Will Clyd wake up and offer Chad some insight between now and then?

Perhaps Cat may remember something about Abby’s location and lead Chad to his long lost love. Chad will be home on April 21 and Connor should be well on his way to making Chad his own by the time 2027 hit and brings Sofia with it.

Connor and Sophia could hit the ground running with their new roles when the couple finally reunite.

Chad Dimera Cannot Move On

Chad has tried to move on with Cat but he son, Thomas Dimera (last played by Cary Christopher) is not having it.

As much as Chad cares about Cat, he has promised to stay away from her. Will Chad finally be reunited with the real love of his life?

Could Chad and Abby finally reunite now that someone is available to take over the role of Abby?

Now that EJ Dimera (Dan Feuerriegel) has the means to bring Abby back from the dead, will she be revealed to be in one of Dr. Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) pods somewhere in safe keeping?

EJ would be doing himself and Chad a favor to bring back his sister in law so he has a direct path to Cat. Will EJ be responsible for reuniting Chad and his children with Abby?

Could this be the role that Sofia has been hired to play?
