Queen Elizabeth Became “Wary” of Meghan Markle Very Early On

Shocking revelations are being brought to light thanks to the coming of a new royal biography. Last week, we learned that, at some point during the Sussexes’ royal fallout, the Queen won’t even pick her grandson Prince Harry’s calls without a witness nearby. This is probably because she became wary of what the Sussexes could leak to the press.

But her wariness was not actually a new thing, and as we’re learning, it certainly didn’t start with the Sussexes’ media campaign against the Monarchy.

Queen Elizabeth Saw Meghan Markle As “An Opportunist” From the Start

A new Meghan Markle claim has emerged in a new book by Susan Page, titled ‘The Queen and Her Presidents: The Hidden Hand That Shaped History.’

In it, we learn that the Queen viewed Meghan Markle with skeptical eyes, even before she walked down the aisle with Harry.

“Her Majesty had become wary of Meghan as an opportunist — was ‘on to her from the start,’ the aide said — and one with public relations skills that left the palace’s outdated press operation in the dust,” Page wrote.

In his book, ‘Spare,’ Harry seemed to confirm the initial skepticism his family treated his relationship with Meghan.

“I remember my family first meeting her and being incredibly impressed, some of them didn’t quite know what to do with themselves,” Harry said. “Because I think they were surprised. They were surprised that a ginger could land such a beautiful woman and such an intelligent woman.”

“But the fact that I was dating an American actress was probably what clouded their judgment more than anything else at the beginning: ‘Oh she’s an American actress; this won’t last,'” he added.

Meghan quit her acting career and shut down her The Tig blog to marry Prince Harry in May 2018.

She would later go on to say, “The actress thing was the biggest problem, funnily enough. There is a big idea of what that looks like from the UK standpoint — Hollywood — and it’s just very easy for them to typecast that.”

However, sources have since claimed that the Queen was okay with her carrying on with her acting career had she chosen to. These days, she is reportedly gearing up for a grand return, and has even secured a cameo on a major motion picture.
