The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Anonymously Saves Malcolm’s Life?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers point to Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) in GC suffering from aplastic anemia and needing a bone marrow transplant to save his life.

As his daughter, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), has been ruled out as a candidate due to past cancer treatment.

Will Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) use this tragedy to prove himself to Lily? You bet he will if he can!

Cane is in desperate need of redemption not just to Lily but to many in GC. Let’s look at how he could achieve this lofty goal!

Lily Not a Viable Donor For Malcolm

Lily is upset about not being able to help Malcom and upset because her ungrateful family, including Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), didn’t find it funny that she pretended to be kidnapped to get back at Cane.

After her plot with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Lily can’t turn to Devon—will she be forced to accept Cane’s sympathy?

Lily Making it All About Her

Lily is mad that no one told her Malcolm’s son is Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), making him her brother. There was a time when Lily despised Holden because of her late beau, Damian Kane (Jermaine River).

Even though she is civil to Holden now, she’s acting like a toddler finding out that mommy is pregnant–she doesn’t want a new brother, waaagh.

Will Cane Save Malcolm?

Cane says he’s angry with Lily for conspiring with Victor over the kidnapping, but no one believes him. After all, he became Alexander Dumas in order to impress her. He would do anything for his queen.

How can Cane get back into Lily’s good graces? By saving Malcolm. It’s very soapy and as such has tons of plot potential—with a dramatic twist.

Cane Saves Malcolm?

Just like Lily, Cane will be shocked and dismayed when he learns about Malcom, possibly from Holden who is his employee. Neither Holden nor Lily can be donors, and we predict that Lily’s kids are ruled out as well.

In such a case, why wouldn’t Cane get tested? Sure, Malcolm read him the riot act and told him to leave his family alone, but Cane isn’t heartless enough to ignore his plight, right? At one time Malcom was Cane’s FIL, so we imagine he will want to help him if he can.

But he might be sneaky about it and help anonymously so as not to be accused of trying to win Lily back.
