The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates indicate that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) might find themselves in a precarious situation.

This is particularly true if Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stands her ground regarding the entire matter involving Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Phyllis Isn’t The Only One Who’s Headed For Trouble If She Doesn’t Return Victor’s Company

Phyllis isn’t the only one who could be facing legal repercussions if she fails to return the Newman empire as Victor demands.

Victor’s new AI system has generated fake emails and documents to “demonstrate” that Phyllis plotted to take over his company. There’s fabricated evidence implicating Cane and Billy, which means they also have a lot to lose.

In the April 24 episode of Y&R, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) cautioned Phyllis about the risk of imprisonment. He pointed out the fact that the Newmans have gathered several division heads who are prepared to testify against her.

Michael Warned That Christine Could Propose A Deal To Either Billy Or Cane

Michael also highlighted that if Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) proposes a deal to either Billy or Cane to testify against Phyllis, it’s likely they won’t refuse.

This is particularly true given that Cane and Billy are quite displeased with Phyllis after her actions; Phyllis chloroformed Cane and took Newman Enterprises from him, which derailed his plans. He’d wanted to reunite with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and rescue the twins from Victor.

Cane has since realized that Lily, Mattie Ashby (last portrayed by Lexie Stevenson), and Charlie Ashby (last portrayed by Noah Alexander Gerry) were never truly in danger.

But that doesn’t lessen the sting of Phyllis’ betrayal, plus, Billy lost Chancellor due to Phyllis, who transferred it to Victor without knowing that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) had already been saved.

Billy Endured A Significant Setback When He Didn’t Regain Control Of Chancellor

This was a significant setback for Billy, as regaining control of Chancellor had been his aspiration for a long time; in essence, Cane and Billy will have even more incentive to testify against Phyllis if the situation escalates.

Not only could they protect themselves, but they also have the chance to retaliate against Phyllis for how she treated them. Will Michael’s concerns about Christine making deals with Billy and Cane turn out to be accurate?
