The inside source spills that Y&R head writer Josh Griffith may have been given free rein to do whatever it takes to get the show back in production and on the air.

The show has been upstaged by its sister CBS show, The Bold and the Beautiful which has returned to production (with a small postponement), making it the first of the four American soaps to do so.

The other soaps are feeling the heat to get back to work, but Y&R is being looked at sideways in some quarters because of its lack of action in light of B&B’s progress.
