Beyond the Gates spoilers confirm that Dr. Lia Whitmore (Cecelia Specht), Garland Memorial’s chief of staff, is currently the head honcho overseeing the illegal plasma ring.

However, fans know she’s second in command, and there’s an even bigger, more powerful person at the helm of the operation, known as “The Impaler”.

It’s hard not to think that Ashley Jones might play this “Impaler”. After all, there’s not much information given about Jones’ role, and BTG fans have been buzzing about who the top person behind the plasma ring could be.

Being a major daytime drama star and as “The Impaler,” seems like a pivotal character that is sure to dominate storylines once they are revealed; it would make sense for Jones to step into this role.

Beyond the Gates does shoot about four months prior to broadcast.

While it was first announced on April 16 that Jones would be joining the cast, she may have been filming on set far earlier than that. If she began shooting in April, that would bring her debut to August; if it was earlier than that … who knows?
