The Young and the Restless spoilers are in for Thursday, May 7, 2026. In tomorrow’s episode, we can expect Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to make his way back to Genoa City.
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) notices something isn’t right with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Keep reading to find out what is coming up in the CBS soap opera.
Key Takeaways
- Cane makes a promise to Lily that he’ll be there for Malcolm’s surgery, but will he keep this promise?
- Phyllis takes notice of Nick’s odd behavior
- Matt returns to GC, even though he has no clue who he is!
Cane Ashby’s Vow
Let’s start with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). The man was just arrested, but thinks Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will get him out on bail.
However, this is the wrong time for a trial that could take several months. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will panic about Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) fate.
With that said, Cane will make promises that he’s going to make sure that Malcolm gets a chance to live.
Phyllis Summers’ Critical Discovery
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she was arrested as well. But, she made bail right away. In the meantime, she will cross paths with Nick.
While Nick has agreed to get treatment, it’s not easy to deal with the cravings until he goes to rehab. Added teasers hint Phyllis will notice something is off with Nick during their encounter.

Nick Newman’s Recovery
Nick will look pretty rough, so Phyllis might wonder what is really going on with her ex. Nick may still be sneaking pills without telling anyone.
Then again, he may look bad because of withdrawal symptoms, so there’s that, too!
That would be more realistic than “instant sobriety.” Sorry, y’all, addiction and recovery just doesn’t work like that, no matter what the soaps tell us!
While Phyllis will want to help despite their differences, Nick might not be in the mood. Between Phyllis’ antics and Matt, Nick might tell her off!
What Else to Expect
As for what else to expect in tomorrow’s episode, we will see Matt trying to make his way back to Genoa City.
The man is determined to finish what he started. However, with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) claiming Matt is dead, everyone will be caught off guard.
For one thing, everyone will want to know why Sienna lied. Then, they will wonder whose side she is really on. This could also destroy Sienna’s romance with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).
This is just too important a thing to lie about. Sienna is going to get people killed. Of course, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) can sense that something feels off.
So, when Matt comes back to finish what he started, what does that mean for everyone else?
