Jonathan Bennett Provides Sneak Peek Into New General Hospital Character + Debut Date

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Mean Girls and Hallmark Channel star, Jonathan Bennett, is on the cusp of entering the land of Port Charles.

The actor recently talked to TV Guide and offered a preview of what fans can expect from his new character and his debut date!

Airdate Debut Confirmed

General Hospital spoilers confirm that the name of Bennett’s new character is Joe Fitzpatrick, and he’s slated to enter storylines this Monday, May 18.

During Bennett’s TV Guide interview, the star noted that, “Returning to daytime television was not on my bingo card for 2026.” (GH fans could say the exact same thing!)

In addition, Bennett stated, “I feel like I hit the jackpot when this opportunity came because the character is something that I really wanted to play.”

The PCPD Is Growing

It appears that Joe Fitzpatrick will enter the canvas as a police officer who’s joining the PCPD! The department could use a boost as Harrison Chase (Joshua Swickard) is no longer a detective, and Nathan West isn’t really Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), but rather the dead man’s evil twin brother, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey).

Right now, the police department has its hands full, still trying to figure out who shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) – even though fans know it’s Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen – plus, trying to figure out the mystery driver in Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harpers) car crash case!

In terms of entering the land of Port Charles, Bennett had this to say: “I’m feeling excited, and I’m also laughing because I can’t wait for the world to see what Joe Fitzpatrick is really all about.”

Fans saw someone take a snapshot of Chase while he was out on his evening run during the Monday, May 11 episode. Could that person be Joe Fitzpatrick, or someone involved with Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone) and Baby Phoebe? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
