Let’s just say that this new version of her is here to stay. There’s heavy speculation suggesting that Kate Middleton might be branding herself and that she might also be using a new name, too.

That’s because during her most recent trip to Italy, a lot of people noticed that the Princess of Wales introduced herself as Catarina. This was her first international solo trip since she was diagnosed with cancer back in early 2024.

But that’s not the only difference that fans have noticed in Kate Middleton. She also seems to be more self-confident and vibrant and willing to do things with more ease whenever she’s by herself.

That could simply be because she’s enjoying her newfound independence. That, or she simply just doesn’t feel comfortable being in her husband Prince William’s shadow anymore. Either way, it seems like a lot of people are enjoying this new and improved version of the princess.

Clearly, royal fans and critics alike certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “It’s not a disaster so that equals the most successful tour of all time in the British press, which is what always makes me roll her eyes about her. But again – what is the point of this? What is she doing? from my end it looks like she just wanted to visit a pretty Italian town and get some photo ops with babies.”

What’s Next For The Princess of Wales?

Another critic wrote, “If you go to the town square you’re going to get a decent crowd. It’s good that she learned a few phrases so that she can talk to the children in Italian.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I have no problem with this. Is her Italian a bit basic? Sure. But that’s alright. She’s talking to kids. No big speeches are needed. She looks happy. For once.”

“Kate looks good and genuinely happy. This is the role she’ll play for the rest of her life so all I can do is wish her well.”
