Is The Young and the Restless’ Lily Brooks O’Briant Joining Days of Our Lives As Sydney DiMera

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest an interesting rumor that seems to be circulating online. There’s massive speculation that The Young and the Restless’ Lily Brooks O’Briant, who plays Lucy Romalotti, could be entering the land of Salem as Sydney DiMera, very soon. Here’s what we know.

Follow The Clues

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that the topic of Sydney DiMera, last played by Evelyn Stephenson, was brought up during the week of May 18-22.

Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) were talking about Sydney and if she ever were to return to town.

EJ noted that he was hoping she’d come to Salem after she was done with school. The fact that Sydney was brought up in dialogue is enough to guarantee a return.

With that said, there’s buzz that Y&Rer, Lily Brooks O’Briant, will be entering the canvas as Sydney in the “days” ahead.

Setting The Record Straight

Lisa Neuman, soap insider, recently posted some hot casting news on X. When a Days fan account questioned a 60th Anniversary casting photo, noting that one of the younger actresses in the pic might be playing Sydney, Neuman replied by stating that O’Briant will be playing EJ’s daughter, and she’s slated to show up sometime in June or July.


The young girl the fan referred to in the photo ended up being Amanda Corday, Executive Producer Ken Corday’s daughter.

In addition, Dan Feuerriegel is following O’Briant on social media, and she’s following him. Feuerriegel doesn’t typically follow young actresses he doesn’t work with, and in addition, O’Briant also follows some other high-profile Days players, so only time will tell.

As of this writing, Days of Our Lives has yet to announce recasting Sydney DiMera, and Lily Brooks O’Briant has not confirmed she’s working with DOOL, so fans will have to stay tuned to this site for more information as it trickles down the pipe.
