General Hospital Spoilers: Everything Changes For Curtis & BLQ After Derek Dies?

General Hospital spoilers suggest that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has landed in some very hot water.

While Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) did provoke him at the Metro Court Gardens to trigger a fight, Curtis did pull out the first punch. Now, he’s being charged with assault.

As Isaiah cannot perform surgeries due to a fractured hand, and thus cannot perform a life-saving surgery on a young patient, Derek (Anias Anozie) … what happens if the boy passes away?

Derek Is Being Transported To Chicago

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Derek is a young boy who was introduced to the canvas in April. He’s a patient of Isaiah’s and requires a liver transplant.

As the little boy has been in the hospital, fighting for his life, Isaiah asked Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) to visit Derek to lift his spirits. Derek is a huge fan of Kai’s college football career.

With that said, Isaiah was supposed to perform his liver transplant this week but now cannot. Isaiah is a specialist in this procedure, so the family and Derek are obviously very upset with what’s happened.

The little boy is supposed to be transported to Chicago for his surgery, as another doctor was found, but what if things go wrong?

Could Derek Pass Away?

Why introduce Derek to storylines if something bigger is not on the horizon? Derek passing away, either before or during his surgery, would cause a ton of chaos on screen.

First off, it would change Curtis’s legal situation tremendously. If he thought he would get backlash PR from his fight with Isaiah, he’d be in a nightmare if Derek dies. He may even get sued by both the family and Isaiah.

Plus, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) would feel even guiltier if this happened.

When Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) visited BLQ and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to ask for funds to support Derek’s transportation to Chicago, Brook Lynn immediately offered to donate money personally.

BLQ will spiral if anything happens to the little boy.

Then there’s Kai and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Trina is #TeamCurtis all the way; however, Kai bonded with Derek and will be devastated if something happens to him.

Derek’s death could cause massive friction in this romance.
