General Hospital Star Steve Burton Is Completely Stressed Because Of His Ex-Wife

And here we thought it had something to do with working too many hours in Port Charles, right? Well, clearly we are talking about General Hospital star Steve Burton as it seems like there might have been another serious reason as to why he decided to take such a long break from the show.

General Hospital Star Steve Burton Is Completely Stressed Because Of His Ex-Wife

And no, it had nothing to do with his current wife, Michelle Lundstrom, or his job at General Hospital. Instead, it seems like he’s completely stressed over his custody battle with his ex-wife, Sheree Burton.

According to TMZ, Steve and Sheree certainly battled it out in text messages that were obtained by the side back in March. Steve accused his ex of manipulation when it came to their custody agreement over their daughter, Brooklyn.

Sheree, meanwhile, accused the soap star of upending their daughter’s life and moving when she clearly was happy in California with the life they already had.

Steve said, “I know your priority is not having her spend time with us. Activities do not Trump time with family. Again this is something you signed and you decided to neglect that and now put it on [Brooklyn] .. and now you get to say dad won’t let you…when you should have said it’s not gonna work.”

Sheree then hit back with, “Please just enjoy your weekend with your daughter. I’m done talking about this,” while Steve responded again with, “The truth is, you’ve never been willing to work with anything. If you were, we never would’ve gone to court in the first place just to see my daughter.”

A lot of General Hospital fans now can’t help but wonder if this might have been the reason why Steve decided to take a break from filming General Hospital for a few months. All of the stress has certainly taken a huge toll on his mental health.

So far Steve Burton himself has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
