MrBeast winner, Jabari Brown, AKA Captain Treezy landed up arrested during a drug bust at the end of May. It went down in Paraguay. Read on to find out more about it.
Drugs Bust
The facts emerged via NTVProfit and other outlets. Reportedly, he flew a plane, a Bombardier Challenger 604, into a landing strip near Asunción at “Silvio Pettirossi” International Airport.
Drug enforcement officers quickly arrived and they searched the plane and baggage. Plus, a large amount of marijuana.
In total, the drugs weighed about “577 pounds.” Not just plain stuff, the officials described it as “premium cannabis.”

Additionally, they estimated the value of it to be about $3.6 million. Other news arrived that the drugs were possibly en route “to Brazil.”
The Arrests
Folks got arrested, including Jabari Brown. His detention came the next day after three others were also taken into custody. Well, reality TV fans of MrBeast certainly wouldn’t have expected that from Captain Treezy.
After his arrest, Sports NDTV noted that he cooperated during the interviews with the cops. Other news came that the aircraft was leased. So, it wasn’t one that Brown won during the MrBeast contest.
Not Prosecuted
Prosecutors didn’t keep him long and releasing him on June 1. Fortunately, Paraguay’s law enforcement folks believe there was “no evidence linking him to the drug cargo.”
Notably, they came to that conclusion because, as a hired co-pilot, Brown wasn’t aware of what the passengers stashed away in their bags.
While Jabari Brown was released with no charges, the others involved remain under investigation. Three other Americans are still held behind bars during pretrial.
Pre-Trail Detentions
The trial might take time to arrive, but true crime followers probably hear the names Marisol Rivas, Troy Anthony Vasquez, and David Thomas Wise as time goes by.
That’s because they’ll be charged with international drug trafficking charges.
Another person involved left the country before the raid on the hangar. He is the lead pilot on the flight, Keith Siilats, an Estonian who co-founded Bolt Mobility.
Obviously, any investigation won’t overlook him, rental agreements, chain of custody, and the bigger network behind the operation.
Reactions On Social Media
When @allaboutthetea shared the news on Instagram, many fans reacted to the close brush with the law involving Captain Treezy. One of them penned, “the pilot he doesn’t look in bags he flies planes that (sic) on the boarding staff”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion. and some people came up with alternative theories:
- He’s a pilot 🧑🏾 ✈️ the weight of the jet 🛩️ alone is a dead giveaway for the amount of ppl on board. It’s a bust and the investigators 🕵🏻 ♂️ literally knew when to strike so it’s been set up for quite some time…
- He’s home …..he had nothing to do with it 💯
- Why would they think he knew what would be on that plane?. He just showed up for work like he usually do duh.
- They set him up we definitely see the plot twist.
